In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), stated that alumni play a crucial role in influencing the Faculty's reputation, both in terms of accreditation and global rankings. One of the key factors contributing to this is their contributions to international collaboration and recognition.
"As faculty leaders, we always place alumni in a special position, including involving them in every activity we undertake at the Faculty of Medicine, UNS. We also entrust the reputation of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, to be maintained and elevated, as this is your alma mater, the place where you once gained your knowledge," he said.
The Chairman of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS Alumni Association, Dr. Muhammad Husen Prabowo, dr., M.P.H., in his remarks, stated that the achievements of these outstanding alumni could serve as motivation and inspiration for students.
"For me, success is not an end in itself, but a continuous transformation. There are three things we must pay attention to. The first is mindset. Success shifts our mindset from reactive to proactive, from simply waiting for opportunities to pursuing them," he said.
The second, according to Dr. Husen, is an effective and efficient work method. "As professionals, we are required to work quickly and precisely, so we must be able to manage our time effectively and efficiently. Finally, to be a winner, we must be adaptive, able to adjust to changing times," he explained.

In telling the story of his life, Prof. Prasetyo Edi conveyed that it is a person's sacrifice that should be shared and told so that it can become an inspiration, not just someone's achievements.
"Don't feel like you are suffering today in the process, but be confident that God will replace it with success one day. The most important thing is that you understand that experiencing suffering is part of the process towards your success and happiness," he said.
This graduate with numerous academic degrees has experienced 12 graduation ceremonies, both in medicine and law. However, for him, success isn't just about achievements or the titles on his nametag, but about the difficult choices he must make when no one else is watching.
"Because I believe the most useful stories aren't the sweet ones. The most useful stories are the ones about the nights when we almost gave up, but we still chose to stand up," he said.
He believes being a doctor is a very special profession, because he can help others with his knowledge.
"When I enter the operating room, my focus increases because this is where all my years of training and experience are at stake. Repairing what's torn, restoring a pulse that's nearly stopped. When we successfully save a patient, I feel a silent sense of gratitude for the knowledge God has entrusted to me, which is not entirely mine but belongs to every patient who needs it," he said.

According to Prof. Prasetyo Edi, in addition to studying medical science, students also need to study law, at least the broadest aspects of health law. Doctors who don't understand the law will be vulnerable. Not necessarily to the law itself, but to exploitation by a system that isn't always fair.
"Because doctors who fail aren't always bad doctors. Often, they're good doctors but are trapped within a broken system. For those of you entering the medical field, study health law, at least the broadest aspects. Not because you'll be facing the law, but because understanding the law will make you a more thorough, empathetic, and responsible doctor," he explained.
