The Clinical Nutrition College Conducts Monitoring and Evaluation of Preparations for the Opening of the PPDS Clinical Nutrition Program FK UNS

Clinical nutrition is crucial for managing various health conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and digestive disorders. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that more than 2 billion people worldwide are malnourished, while overnutrition is also a serious problem that can lead to obesity and related diseases.
Precision medicine, which takes into account patient differences in genes, environmental conditions, and lifestyle, has become a global priority, replacing current traditional treatment methods. In this regard, the study of the effects of nutrients on the human body is crucial. Therefore, competent clinical nutritionists are needed who are able to address various health challenges, particularly nutrition issues in Indonesia.
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) remains committed to supporting the need for specialist doctors in Indonesia. This is reflected in the establishment of the Clinical Nutrition Specialist Study Program, an official assignment from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology through letter number 1111/B/DT.03.07/2025 concerning the Assignment for the Establishment of Specialist and Subspecialist Study Programs.
