"Currently, there are 84 million Indonesian children who, by 2045, will be the productive generation. Therefore, today's health conditions will determine the nation's civilization in the years to come. We only have two decades to prepare a generation, and here the role of doctors, especially specialist doctors, is crucial," she explained.
This also prompted the government to initiate a program to accelerate the opening of medical study programs to encourage increased doctor production in Indonesia.
"The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and the Ministry of Health are focusing on specialist medical education. This is evident in the accelerated establishment of specialist medical education programs in 2026, and UNS has been mandated to open 11, of which 10 are ready," Prof. Fitria said.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, Prof. Reviono, stated that specialist graduates are expected to be impartial in carrying out their roles as doctors, as they are bound by their professional oath.

Furthermore, foster relationships, especially among fellow professionals and alumni, because at the very least, if they are fellow FK UNS graduates, the bonds are stronger," he said.
With the graduation of specialist doctors for the December 2025 period, since its founding in 1976, FK UNS has graduated 2,140 specialist doctors.
