Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta once again held its Inauguration and Hippocratic Oath-Taking ceremony for new doctors on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. This was the 233rd inauguration and Hippocratic Oath-Taking ceremony held by FK UNS since its establishment in 1976. 

Held in Meeting Room 3 of FK UNS, the event was attended by three participants: one male and two females. Participants in this activity are those who have passed the Student Competency Test for the Medical Professional Program (UKMPPD) for the August 2025 period. The exam consists of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on August 16, 2025, and an Objective-Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) on August 23, 2025.

At this Inauguration and Hippocratic Oath-Taking ceremony, the average Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) was 3.56, with an average length of study of 2 years and 3 months. The highest GPA at this Inauguration and Hippocratic Oath-Taking ceremony was achieved by dr. Tri Andayani Aan Astuti with a GPA of 3.60. 

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, Prof. Dr. dr. Reviono, Sp.P(K); the Vice Deans of the Faculty; the Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine Senate, Prof. Dr. Yulia Lanti Retno Dewi, dr., M.Sc., Ph.D.; the Head of the Medical Profession Study Program, UNS, Dr. dr. Pepi Budianto, Sp.S(K); and the Head of the Undergraduate Medical Program, UNS, Dr. Betty Suryawati, M.Biomed Sci, Ph.D., Sp.MK.

Prof. Reviono delivered an inspiring message to the new doctors to always maintain integrity and enthusiasm in carrying out their roles as healthcare professionals. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and building a broad network to support their contributions to the medical world.

"Becoming a doctor isn't just about knowledge, but also about attitude and responsibility. UNS Faculty of Medicine alumni must continue to uphold the good name of their alma mater by upholding the values of integrity, ethics, and professionalism. Don't forget to continue expanding your network, because collaboration is the key to success in the healthcare world," he explained.

With the inauguration of the 233rd class of doctors, since its founding in 1976, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret, has graduated 7,429 (seven thousand four hundred and twenty-nine) doctors, spread throughout the country and who have dedicated their knowledge to various institutions in the fields of health care, education, research, as well as serving as doctors in the government, private sector, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (POLRI), and others.
