The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Medicine (FK), in collaboration with the the BEM Faculty of Psychology (Fapsi) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), held the Solo Medical Cup (SMC) 2025 Open House on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This Open House is a pre-event for the Solo Medical Cup, which will be held in January 2026.

The SMC 2025 Open House is a routine event organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Fapsi UNS. Participants will participate in a variety of activities, including a talk show with renowned and accomplished speakers, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and a Skills Lab to teach first aid. Participants will also be invited to tour the laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine UNS and witness a parade of Student Activity Units from both faculties.

The Open House participants were high school (SMA) and several junior high school (SMP) students. Approximately 60 participants enthusiastically participated in the various events, which ran from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Open House aimed to introduce participants to the campus environment and specifically to the lectures at the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fapsi) at UNS.

The head of the 2025 Open House committee, Rojikhun Niam Habibie, stated that the event served as a means to promote the main event, SMC 2025.

"Besides being a campus introduction for high school students, this Open House itself is part of a series of activities to promote our main event, the Solo Medical Cup 2025, which will be held in January of next year," he said.

The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, Dr. Ratih Dewi Yudhani, dr., M.Sc., expressed her appreciation for the activities held by the two faculties.

"This is certainly a very interesting activity, especially since the participants are high school students who have no idea what college is like. This Open House showcases the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Psychology, highlighting their strengths and providing an overview for the participants so they can navigate their choices when pursuing their education," she mentioned.
