Faculty of Medicine UNS Receives Benchmarking Visit from Faculty of Medicine UNNES
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) hosted a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Medicine of Semarang State University (UNNES) on Tuesday (July 22, 2025). This benchmarking session discussed the education system in the medical profession study program. The day before, the FK UNNES delegation had visited UNS Hospital and Dr. Moewardi Hospital to observe the learning process for junior doctors (coass) at the hospitals.
FK UNNES delegation was received by the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), in Meeting Room 3 of the Soetjipto Building, FK UNS. Accompanying the Dean were the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs of FK UNS, Dr. Annang Giri Moelyo, dr., Sp.A(K); the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FK UNS, Dr. Ratih Dewi Yudhani, dr., M.Sc; Head of the Medical Professional Education Study Program (Kaprodi) FK UNS, Dr. Pepi Budianto, dr., Sp.S(K) and the Medical Education team FK UNS.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, Prof. Reviono, welcomed the visit from UNNES, as it strengthened ties between the Faculties of Medicine. Furthermore, the Faculty still feels responsible for mentoring the Faculty.

"When the Faculty was founded, we were the ones who mentored the Faculty, so we still feel a responsibility to contribute what we can to further develop ourselves," he said.
The Vice Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Rr. Sri Ratna Rahayu, M.Kes., Ph.D., stated that the purpose of the Faculty of Medicine UNNES benchmarking with the Faculty of Medicine at UNS was to gather information on the implementation system of medical professional education.
"We were founded in 2023, so the first batch of undergraduate medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, UNNES, will be coming to an end. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves for the successful implementation of the professional education process," he said.

On this occasion, the Head of the Medical Professional Education Study Program, Dr. Pepi Budianto, delivered a presentation on the medical professional education system at the Faculty of Medicine, UNS. This presentation was followed by a discussion and question-and-answer session.
It is hoped that this benchmarking will strengthen the solidarity of the two medical faculties and enhance knowledge about the implementation of medical education.
