HMPD FK UNS Successfully Holds D-DAY

The Medical Education Student Association (HMPD) of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universits Sebelas Maret (UNS) once again held its D-DAY activities from April to June 2025.

The D-DAY activities consisted of three series of events: community service, blood donation, and a Fun Run. The entire series was organized by the active management of the HMPD FK UNS Generation 12ISE. With the slogan "12 Years of Rising, 12ISE Race the Future," HMPD FK UNS is committed to increasing the active role of its resources in making an impact on the surrounding community. This activity serves as a platform for management to learn, develop, create, and provide benefits to many.

According to the Chief Executive, Alim Nur Hidayat, D-DAY is a series of activities to commemorate the anniversary of HMPD FK UNS. He hoped that these activities will serve as a catalyst and reminder for FK UNS students to continue working and providing benefits to many others.

"We want to continue providing a platform for our fellow FK UNS HMPD administrators to grow and take concrete steps to benefit many people. This is a manifestation of HMPD FK UNS's existence as an association oriented towards benefiting the wider community," Alim said.

The first series of activities was a blood drive held on April 12, 2025, at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret. This blood drive was in collaboration with the Surakarta Branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). This activity aimed to raise awareness among the FK UNS academic community and the general public about sharing with those in need. This blood drive collected 38 bags of blood.

Furthermore, the second series of events included a community service event on April 27, 2025, at Jagalan, RW 003, Bororejo, Jebres, Surakarta. At this event, students and accompanying physicians underwent anthropometric and blood pressure checks, blood pressure monitoring, and blood glucose monitoring (GCU), as well as free medication distribution. The event was attended by 109 village residents. Twenty-five community service volunteers and 30 administrators from the UNS Faculty of Medicine's Student Association (HMPD) also participated.

The culmination of the event, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, was a Fun Run. Approximately 80 runners from various backgrounds participated. This event also served as a branding opportunity for the HMPD FK UNS. The Fun Run, which covered a 5-kilometer route, circled the UNS Kentingan campus. The event began with an opening by the committee chair, followed by a warm-up session with the runners, and concluded with the awarding of medals to the first, second, and third-place finishers.

The entire D-DAY Fun Run was sponsored by Hilo, Neuroacademy, and a collaboration with Mutiara Dental Care (MDC). Medical assistance from PMPA VAGUS and live music from SCARTA also contributed to the excitement of the Fun Run. With this Fun Run, HMPD FK UNS officially concluded its 12th anniversary celebrations.
