Faculty of Medicine UNS Graduates 23 New Specialist Doctors


 

Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, through its Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS), once again graduated new specialist doctors for the July 2025 term. The event was held in the FK UNS Auditorium on Wednesday (July 23, 2025) and broadcast live on the FK UNS YouTube channel.

The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Research, Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si.; the Dean of the FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the vice deans of the FK UNS; the Deputy Director of Education and Research at the UNS Hospital, Prof. Dr. Diah Kurnia Mirawati, dr., Sp.S(K); the Deputy Director of Services at Dr. Moewardi Regional Hospital, Dr. dr. Harsini, Sp.P, M.M.R; the Chairman of the FK UNS Alumni Family, Dr. Muhammad Husen Prabowo, dr., MPH; and all Heads of the PPDS Study Program, FK UNS.

Based on the academic report read by the Vice Dean for Academic and Research at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS), Prof. Dr. Eti Poncorini Pamungkasari, dr., M.Pd., FK UNS this time released 23 new specialist doctors: 7 graduates from the Psychiatry Study Program, 4 graduates from the Child Health Study Program, 4 graduates from the Neurology Study Program, 4 graduates from the Radiology Study Program, 3 graduates from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program, and 1 graduate from the Internal Medicine Study Program.

The graduation ceremony featured the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by Apriska Mega Sutowo Putri, dr., Sp.O.G., from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program, with a GPA of 3.93. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate is Leviani Mulia Primadani, dr., Sp.Rad., from the Radiology Study Program, who completed her specialist doctor education at the age of 29 years and 2 months.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, Prof. Reviono, stated that specialist doctors’ graduates are not only required to possess scientific competence but also strong character. He emphasized the importance of mental toughness, integrity, and professionalism in facing the complex world of work.

"The activities are diverse, but the core is creating quality services and education that culminate in quality graduates. This is a complex process that involves various aspects, from planning to implementation, to achieve optimal results," Prof. Reviono mentioned.

Vice Rector for Academic and Research UNS, Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si., expressed her hope that the graduates would uphold UNS's reputation and reputation.

"Hopefully, the results of their studies, hard work, and commitment will bring benefits, blessings, and make a significant contribution to society. We hope that all specialist doctors will dedicate themselves wholeheartedly, upholding noble morals, thereby enhancing UNS's reputation," Prof. Fitria said.

Since its founding in 1976, the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNS has graduated 2,064 specialist doctors. These graduates have dedicated their knowledge to various fields, including healthcare, education, research, and government and private institutions throughout Indonesia.
