Faculty of Medicine Enlivens UNS Student Festival 2025


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) participated in enlivening the 2025 UNS Student Festival held at The Park Mall Solo Baru on Saturday (31/5/2025) and Sunday (1/6/2025). The activity, which was part of the agenda for the 49th UNS Dies Natalis series, is the first to be held.

On this occasion, FK UNS opened a booth displaying several collections of plasticine cadavers from the anatomy laboratory, 3D-based anatomy learning media, and there is also a nutritional consultation service for visitors to the FK UNS nutrition laboratory.

The Head of the UNS Student Festival 2025 Committee, Dr. Singgih Hendarto, S.Pd., M.Pd., in his report explained that this event presents various interesting and educational agendas. The Student Festival is designed as a means of introducing UNS's superior profile to prospective students. Furthermore, visitors can interact directly with students and lecturers at the faculty booth.

"The UNS Student Festival 2025 is filled with faculties that present complete profiles and information for preparation for lectures at UNS. In addition, visitors can consult regarding the UNS new student admission pathway through the UNS New Student Admissions Selection (SPMB) booth," Dr. Singgih said.

Several agendas that enlivened the Student Festival included the SPMB Talkshow with the theme "Grow Optimally at Universitas Sebelas Maret". In addition, there was a Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) competition, UNS new student registration via the Independent pathway, and art and music performances. Drawing competitions and cultural performances also enlivened the festival atmosphere.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni UNS, Prof. Ir. Dody Ariawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D in his opening remarks expressed his appreciation for the holding of this activity. He said that this Student Festival not only celebrated UNS' 49th Dies Natalis, but also strengthened UNS' relationship with the community. Through this activity, UNS wants to provide information on higher education openly.

"UNS is currently the second most competitive university in SNBT 2025," Prof. Dody explained.

Prof. Dody hopes that through this festival, high school/vocational high school students will get a clear picture of studying at UNS. Including various new study programs that have been opened as a form of adaptation to the needs of the times. Prof. Dody also added that this event is a manifestation of UNS' commitment to presenting inclusive higher education. According to him, the UNS Student Festival 2025 is an important platform for the younger generation. Students are invited to get to know the world of campus and prepare themselves optimally.

The entire series of activities took place lively and received high enthusiasm from the community. Many visitors came to enjoy the various agendas that UNS had prepared. Not only students, many parents also attended to seek educational information for their children.

UNS continues to innovate and make real contributions to the wider community. Through the 2025 UNS Student Festival, UNS shows its commitment to the development of higher education. It is hoped that this event can provide inspiration and motivation for prospective new students. This activity also shows UNS' commitment to striving for the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs), Quality Education.
