FK UNS Successfully Wins Sports Competition Events as Celebration of UNS' 49th Anniversary


 

In order to enliven the 49th Anniversary of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), the Faculty of Medicine (FK) participated in various activities held by the UNS Anniversary committee. One of the activities participated by the FK UNS academic community was a sports competition in the university environment. There were three sports competed, namely Fun Archery, Fun Woodball, and Petanque.

This activity was held at the UNS Sports Building (GOR) on Thursday (10/4/2025) and was attended by hundreds of UNS academics from faculties, institutions, directorates, and the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UNS.

In this competition, the academic community of FK UNS managed to win several competition categories including 1st Place Petanque Double Men, 2nd Place Fun Woodball DWP, 3rd Place Fun Archery DWP, and 3rd Place Fun Archery.

Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs of FK UNS, Dr. Annang Giri Moelyo, dr., Sp.A (K)., M.Kes. on a separate occasion congratulated the academic community of FK UNS who managed to win this competition.

"Alhamdulillah, with great struggle, finally the team from FK UNS managed to win several categories of the competition held. Congratulations to the winners, thank you for your struggle. I would also like to say Happy 49th Anniversary of UNS, may UNS continue to be successful and bring benefits to the entire community," he said.

Head of the Sports Division of the 49th Anniversary of UNS, Dr. Hedrig Joko Prasetyo, M. Or., said that hundreds of UNS academics were enthusiastic about participating in the competition held.

"This competition is in the context of commemorating the 49th Anniversary of UNS, especially in the field of sports, by competing in three sports fields, namely fun archery, fun woodball, and petanque. Approximately 180 UNS academics participated in this competition with great enthusiasm and all upheld the values of sportsmanship," Dr. Hendrig said.

Dr. Hendrig added that this competition was held to strengthen the relationship between the UNS academic community. He also added that the purpose of this competition was to build good sports habits in the UNS academic community.

"The hope is that this competition will popularize sports itself. Also to foster sports habits in the UNS academic community, so that they will be fit and can improve the performance of the academic community," Dr. Hendrig concluded.

In addition to this competition, a healthy walk and healthy exercise were also held on Saturday (12/4/2025). The healthy walk and healthy exercise were the peak events of the series of UNS's 49th Dies Natalis in the field of sports. The event will also be enlivened by the appearance of OM Lorenza, who is widely loved and is currently a favorite.
