FK UNS Releases 31 Specialist Doctors for February 2025 Period
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has again released 31 new specialist doctors in the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS). The graduation of PPDS for the February 2025 period was held on Thursday (20/2/2025) at the FK UNS Auditorium and broadcast live via the FK UNS Youtube channel.
Dr. Eti Poncorini Pamungkasari, dr., M.Pd., Vice Dean for Academic and Research, FK UNS in her report said that the Graduation of PPDS for the February 2025 Period was attended by 31 participants from 5 Study Programs (Prodi). Consisting of PPDS Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, and Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy.
"With the graduation of PPDS students for the January 2025 period, FK UNS has graduated 2,017 specialist doctors since its establishment in 1976 until now. They have been spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions both in the fields of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others," Dr. Eti said.

At the graduation of PPDS for this period, the graduates with the highest GPA were achieved by dr. Fadli Rahman, Sp.P.D. and dr. Debora Marga Pangestika, Sp.P.D. both of whom achieved a GPA of 3.98. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate of the PPDS Period of February 2025 is Fadli Rahman, dr., Sp.P.D. who was born in Boyolali, February 21, 1996 at the age of 28 years and 10 months. There are also 17 PPDS participants who received cum laude predicate.
Representing the graduates, dr. Huda Nur Rakhman, Sp.P., in his speech expressed his gratitude to the doctors and parties who supported the success of the specialist doctors to this point.
"We realize that our responsibility in the future is not easy. The education we received has equipped us with the knowledge and skills to contribute to policy. We are committed to continuing to learn, innovate, and collaborate with all parties for better and more equitable health," dr. Huda mentioned.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K). in his speech gave several messages to the Specialist Doctors to have important values in their careers. "This is the first step in your career. I advise you to always act professionally. In professionalism there are several competencies, namely responsibility, competence and patientity. That is the professional attitude that you must have," he said.
Prof. Reviono also reminded the graduates to always have integrity. This integrity is an obligation that must be possessed because it shows the quality of an individual's morals. "Integrity and honesty, without that there will not be many partners who are happy to work with you," he added.
The Dean of FK UNS also appealed to the graduates to develop networks. "This is very important, network with many parties. It will be difficult for you to develop if you are only in the same circle of groups," Prof. Reviono concluded.
By graduating 31 new specialist doctors, it also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) number 3, namely 'Good Health and Well-Being'. By increasing the number of specialist medical personnel, FK UNS helps improve access and quality of health services in Indonesia.
