The Radiology Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) held an International Lecture activity presenting international experts Prof. Suresh Kumar Mukherji, MD, MBA, FACR from the Department of Radiology, University of Illinois-Peoria on Wednesday (4/9/2024) at the FK UNS Auditorium.

This activity was held in a hybrid manner with 100 offline participants and 100 online participants. The expert lecture was attended by FK UNS Radiology Staff, FK UNS Radiology PPDS, PPDS of other study programs from FK UNS, FK UNS Faculty of Medicine Students, PPDS Radiology from universities throughout Indonesia under the Indonesian Radiology Collegium.

By taking the topic "Emergency Head and Neck Radiology: What To Expect At Night" and "Pediatric Head and Neck Radiology", Prof. Suresh said that a radiologist must be able to deal with difficult cases and emergencies that may arise at any time and must be able to provide a correct description of the emergency.

Acting Officer Vice Dean of Human Resources, Finance and Logistics, Dr. Diah Kurnia Mirawati, dr., Sp.S(K) expressed her appreciation for the holding of scientific activities like this. She hopes that participants can gain many benefits from the international experts presented.

"I really appreciate what the PPDS Radiology Study Program has done by organizing this International Lecture because it will open our insight into the world of health, especially radiology. I hope that the participants can absorb as much as possible the benefits of the material presented by the speakers," she said.

According to dr. Rachmi Fauziah Rahayu Sp. Rad (K) N-KL as the Head of the PPDS Radiology Study Program, FK UNS, the purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge about emergency cases and pediatric head and neck cases in the field of radiology.

"The highest appreciation for the committee and all parties involved in organizing this event. From the beginning to the end, everything felt special so that hopefully all participants can get useful knowledge from this event. Hopefully in the future we can bring back Prof. Suresh to be a Visiting Professor in the Radiology Study Program, FK UNS," she said.
