FK UNS Releases 41 New Specialist Doctors at the Release of PPDS Period August 2024
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) on Thursday (29/8/2024) again released new specialist doctors who had graduated from FK UNS. This event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Research, Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si, M.Si.; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the vice deans of FK UNS; Deputy Director of Education and Research at UNS Hospital, Tonang Dwi Ardyanto, Sp.P.K., Ph.D; and all Heads of the PPDS FK UNS Study Program.
At the release of specialist doctors for the August period, the Faculty of Medicine UNS released 41 new specialist doctors. It should be noted that of the 41 participants, 4 were recipients of the Ministry of Health Study Assignment scholarship, and to date the number of graduates receiving the Ministry of Health Study Assignment scholarship is 347 people.
Based on the academic report read by the Acting Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D, the 41 participants of the graduation consisted of 17 people from the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program, 5 people from the Clinical Pathology Study Program, 5 people from the Child Health Science Study Program, 5 people from the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Program, 4 people from the Psychiatry Study Program, 4 people from the Surgery Study Program, 1 person from the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program.

In this graduation, there was a participant with the highest Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) achieved by Melita, dr., Sp.P with a GPA of 3.90 from the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate in this PPDS Graduation was Hapsary Puteri Widodo, dr., Sp. P.K .; comes from the PPDS Clinical Pathology Study Program and is 27 years and 10 months old at the time of graduation.
The deputy of the new specialist doctor, dr. Iyan Ari Prabowo, Sp.P, in his speech felt proud to be a student at FK UNS and expressed his gratitude for all the guidance and teaching provided by the campus during the process of gaining knowledge and invited fellow new specialist doctors not to be satisfied with what they have achieved so far.
"I invite fellow colleagues, let's not be satisfied and remain humble. The real battlefield is just about to begin. Let's give the best possible service from the knowledge we have gained for the community out there. Always maintain professionalism by involving loving and respectful communication with patients to provide good service," he said.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono, in his speech said that it is time for the newly inaugurated specialist doctors to show their true selves.
"These new specialist doctors, immediately go out into the community, give what they have gained in their respective study programs according to their respective competencies to be devoted to the community," said Prof. Reviono.
In addition, Prof. Reviono also advised the new specialist doctors who are now alumni to maintain the good name of UNS and continue to maintain good relations with colleagues and with the alma mater.
With the release of specialist doctors for the August period, the UNS Faculty of Medicine since its establishment in 1976, has graduated 1942 (One Thousand Nine Hundred and Forty Two) specialist doctors, who have been spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions both in the fields of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
