KKN Team 317 FK UNS Collaborates with Boyolali Health Center II to Form 'PANTI CEKO' in Karanggeneng Village
In July to August 2024, students of the Undergraduate Program in Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) were undergoing a Thematic Community Service (KKN) 'Building Village Health' in Sragen and Boyolali Regencies. The 317 KKN Team assigned to Karanggeneng Village, Boyolali Regency together with the Boyolali II Health Center formed 'PANTI CEKO' on Monday (22/07/2024).
Panti Ceko is an abbreviation of "Pantau Hipertensi Cegah Faktor Risiko" which is one of the programs of the Boyolali II Health Center with the aim of detecting and monitoring people suffering from hypertension. This program was inaugurated on July 22, 2024. The formation of Panti Ceko was carried out in stages, starting from RW 08, 09, and 12. Furthermore, cadres will be formed in other RW after receiving a good response from the community. This program is carried out at the end of each month, starting with an examination and continuing with consultation and treatment. After two weeks of drug administration, a program evaluation was conducted on Thursday (01/08/2024).
According to Sri Wahyuni, a midwife in Karanggeneng Village, the activities of Panti Ceko are very useful and help control hypertension cases in Karanggeneng Village. "This activity is expected to be a reference point for the people of Karanggeneng Village as a hypertension control center, so that the number of hypertension and its complications such as stroke will decrease," she said.

UNS FK KKN students actively participated in this activity, such as helping to measure blood pressure, educate about hypertension, and provide digital tensiometers to help the sustainability of the program. In addition, so that information does not stop, KKN students also distributed leaflets and pocket books about stroke so that people with hypertension can remember important things in controlling hypertension and preventing complications. This program was enthusiastically welcomed by residents and received appreciation from the people of Karanggeneng Village, marked by the large number of people who participated and actively participated in this activity. So that there was an increase in targets when the evaluation was carried out on Thursday (01/08/2024).
The KKN 317 group consisting of Muhammad Alif Ibadurrohman Adhi, Thoriq Makiyyah Abadi, Vicky Ilham Rizqi Maulana, Muhammad Rafi Budiarto, Dhea Agustina, Salzha Devinta, Sari Cantika Putri, Shofura Faizati Akbar, Zatila Aqmar Arifa, Syahidah Rahayu Warsita invited the people of Karanggeneng Village to realize a hypertension-free society, in order to create healthy and strong families. With the establishment of this program, it is hoped that it can increase the knowledge and awareness of the community, especially the residents of Karanggeneng Village, regarding the dangers of hypertension and its complications, so that it is also expected to reduce the incidence of hypertension in Karanggeneng Village.
