The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) conducted benchmarking at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) Universitas Pertahanan of the Republic of Indonesia (Unhan RI) on Tuesday (2/7/2024). Upon arrival at the main campus of the Unhan RI, Bogor, 20 people consisting of representatives of lecturers, education staffs and students were immediately greeted with a performance by the Unhan RI Student Cadet marching band "Canka Praditya Wiratama".

The delegation from FK UNS was received by the Dean of FKIK Unhan RI, Major General TNI Dr. Prihati Pujo Waskito, dr., Sp.JP (K), FIHA, MARS in the VIP lounge room, who was also accompanied by the Deputy Dean, Brigadier General TNI Dr. Dr. Amin Ibrizatun, S.H., M.A.R.S., M.H; Head of the Indonesian Defense University FKIK Undergraduate Study Program Marine Colonel (K/W) dr. Lila Irawati T. W, Sp.An., M.Kes., KIC; Head of the Information, Communication and Education Cooperation Unit, FKIK Indonesian Defense University, Colonel. Case. Asep Gunawan, A.Mk., S.H.

Acting Offcier of Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs FK UNS, dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D said that the aim of FK UNS in carrying out this benchmarking was to see firsthand the learning process at FKIK Unhan RI as well as exchanging ideas about academic management.

"We hope that this opportunity will not only be a means of sharing knowledge but can strengthen friendships among medical faculties because we are sure that on various occasions at activities held at the national level, we will definitely meet often," she said.

Furthermore, according to Dr. Paramasari, with this visit it is hoped that cooperation can be created that can improve quality and be beneficial for both faculties.

"This is just the beginning of, God willing, various future collaborations between the two faculties, it is hoped that all of this can provide benefits for all of us. With this visit we hope to exchange ideas, exchange ideas about how to manage a good academic system for students," she said.

Dean of FKIK Indonesian Defense University, Major General TNI Dr. Prihati Pujo Waskito, dr., Sp.JP (K), FIHA, MARS who became an outstanding alumnus of FK UNS in 2024, welcomed this visit.

“We were very honored to be visited by medical faculty who were more senior than us. Of course, we all hope that we can get various positive things from this meeting so that it can bring goodness in improving the quality of medical faculty management," he explained.

After the discussion, the group from FK UNS was invited to tour various educational facilities on the Unhan RI campus, such as the Integrated Laboratory, Medical Biodefense Research Center and OSCE Center.

In the evening, a dinner was held at the Aston Hotel Jakarta. Apart from dinner and hospitality, this occasion also featured entertainment presented by students from both faculties. The event ended with an exchange of souvenirs and group photos.
