The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on Friday (21/6/2024) held the 2024 FK UNS Open House activity. This activity was a series of events for the 48th Anniversary of UNS. Located in the parking lot of Building F FK UNS, this Open House had several stands, including a health examination stand, a nutrition consultation stand, a psychology stand, and a tour of the anatomy laboratory.

In collaboration with the UNS Medical Center and the Faculty of Psychology, this activity was attended by the FK UNS academic community and the public who wanted to check their health or to see the contents of the Anatomy Laboratory.

At the health examination stand, people who attend will have their blood sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol levels checked in their bodies. Meanwhile, at the nutrition stand, participants will have their weight weighed, fat levels measured and can provide consultations about nutrition.

Apart from health issues, at the Faculty of Psychology stand, several products related to psychology were introduced and the public could also try the psychological tests provided. Meanwhile, on the Anatomy Laboratory Tour, the public can see firsthand the contents of the anatomy laboratory and get information about how students study in this laboratory. Apart from that, the public was also introduced to superior products from the anatomy laboratory, namely Anatomart, which is an application for learning human body anatomy using virtual reality.

According to the chairman of the Open House FK UNS 2024 committee, Dian Nugroho, dr., M.Med, this activity is not only aimed at enlivening the highlight of the UNS 48th Anniversary but also aims to provide direct benefits to the community.

"The aim of this activity is to introduce ourselves regarding the activities and products produced by the two faculties. The number of visitors to the open house activity this time reached 80 people who visited and benefited from the various stands that we have provided," he said.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) in his speech really appreciated this positive activity so that it is hoped that in the future the UNS Faculty of Medicine and the UNS Faculty of Psychology can provide real benefits to the community.

"This Open House event is an outlet for the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Psychology, what are the superior products or products in the field of research or community service which are innovations from the lecturers of these two faculties. Hopefully this activity can make a contribution to UNS and society," he said.

It is hoped that this Open House activity will become a medium for the public to see what activities are being carried out, what products are being developed and what has been produced by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Psychology UNS.
