The chief organizer of this activity, Dr. Ika Sumiyarsi Sukamto, S.Si.T., M.Kes, emphasized the importance of the 0-5 year age period as a crucial period in children's development.
“During that period, children's growth and development occurred very quickly. Proper nutrition and stimulation are needed to achieve optimal growth. Baby massage is an effective method for stimulating growth and can also strengthen the bond between mother and child," she explained.
It was further explained that after gaining this knowledge and training, mothers were expected to be able to massage their babies independently.

"One of the aims of our activities is to provide training in baby massage to mothers with children aged 0-2 years. So far, there has been an opinion that baby massage should only be done by health workers or therapists, even though baby massage by the mother herself is very beneficial. We Hopefully this training will help mothers do their own baby massage," she explained.
Apart from receiving baby massage training and knowledge about child growth and development, participants were also given training modules and baby massage oil.
