The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) held the Inauguration and Handover of the Student Organizations (Ormawa) FK UNS Chairs Period of 2024 on Friday (4/5/2024). The activity which was held in the FK UNS Auditorium was attended by the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) along with the vice deans, Ormawa supervisor lecturers and heads of Student Activity Units for the 2023 and 2024 periods.

A total of 18 Student Activity Units (UKM) at FK UNS changed management after the term of office of the old administrators had expired. One thing that has changed is the position of Chair of the Student Executive Board (BEM) from Arzaq Fikrian Zahrawan as BEM chair for the 2023 period to Auxana Qudsi as BEM chair for the 2024 period.

Deputy chairman of BEM for the 2023 period, Royan Muhammad Musab, expressed his gratitude for the support given while carrying out his duties.

"On behalf of the BEM management for the 2023 period, I would like to express my gratitude for the support that has been given to us while carrying out our duties and functions as BEM FK UNS. We have achieved many achievements, but of course there are still several evaluations," he said.

Royan hopes that the new BEM management can continue to be the driving force and executor in every student activity at FK UNS.

Auxana Qudsi, Chair of BEM FK UNS for the 2024 period, in her speech thanked her for the trust that had been given to her to carry out her mandate as chair of BEM FK UNS for the 2024 period.

"Previously, I didn't have any experience in managing BEM, but I was given this mandate. I am sure that this is not just a mandate, this is also a destiny from God for me to make BEM FK UNS better in the future. We ask for support from everyone so that this management can carry out its duties well," he said.

In his speech, the Dean of FK UNS expressed his appreciation to the 2023 Ormawa administrators who have dedicated themselves to managing various student activities at FK UNS.

"Of course, as the leader of FK UNS, I am very grateful and appreciative of the hard work of the old management because they have dedicated themselves, given their time, energy and thoughts to take care of various kinds of activities, both academic and non-academic," Prof. Reviono said.

He advised the Ormawa administrators for the 2024 period to continue to improve themselves and use the evaluation of the previous period's management as learning material so that the new period's management can achieve more brilliant achievements.

"This is an opportunity for all of you to actualize yourself to practice in academic and non-academic fields and actively contribute to the future progress of FK UNS. You all need to know that FK UNS is ranked 3rd in the best medical faculties in Indonesia, one of the components that supports this achievement is the role of its students, so let's ensure that FK UNS continues to excel both at the national and international level," he concluded.
