FK UNS Releases 5 New Specialist Doctors for the April 2024 Period


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) on Thursday (25/04/2024) again released new specialist doctors who had graduated from FK UNS. The event which was held in the FK UNS auditorium was attended by the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the vice deans of FK UNS; Deputy Director of Human Resources and Education Dr. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta, dr. Veronica Dwi Winahyu; Head of the FK UNS Alumni Family, dr. Sri Pratomo, Sp.B, FinaCS, FICS; Representative from UNS Hospital, Tonang Dwi Ardyanto, dr., Sp.PK(K)., Ph.D., FISQUA; as well as all Heads of the FK UNS PPDS Study Program.

In the April release of specialist doctors, the UNS Faculty of Medicine released 5 new specialist doctors. Based on the academic report read by the Acting Officer Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, FK UNS, dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D, 5 release participants consisting of 4 people from the PPDS Surgical Sciences Study Program and 1 person from the PPDS Clinical Pathology Study Program.

In this event, Jethro Eka Gunarsa, dr., Sp. P.K from the PPDS Clinical Pathology Study Program became the graduate with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA), earned the Cum Laude title (with honors) as well as being the youngest graduate with a GPA of 3.84 and a study period of 3 years 2 months and age at graduation was 30 years.

The representative of specialist medical graduates, Satrio Sarwo Trengginas, dr., Sp.B, in his speech expressed his gratitude to the lecturers and academics of FK UNS who have provided facilities, knowledge and knowledge in the educational process.

"We also ask for prayers and guidance from teachers, lecturers and senior doctors so that later we return to society and can apply the knowledge and knowledge we have gained to society," he said.

Deputy Director of Human Resources and Education Dr. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta, dr. Veronica Dwi Winahyu congratulated the doctors on their graduation and advised that the new specialist doctors always maintain professional ethics and attitudes in carrying out their professional duties.

“Now is no longer the time when patients need doctors, but doctors need patients. If a doctor is not good, especially in terms of communication, and his attitude is not good, then we will be left behind because patients will prefer doctors who have a better attitude," she said.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono in his speech said that the specialist doctors who had been trained at FK UNS were doctors with qualified qualities who were ready to go directly into the community.

"Now the challenges will be different from when I first became a specialist doctor, but that's okay because we will definitely face challenges in our own time," Prof. Reviono said.

According to him, as alumni of FK UNS, these new specialist doctors are considered ready to face these various changes because they have been trained with various knowledge by competent and qualified lecturers.

"We have educated by preparing lecturers, consultants who are competent in their respective fields and also together with Dr. Moewardi Hospital has provided various educational facilities that support the educational process of these specialist doctors," he explained.

With the release of specialist doctors this April, the UNS Faculty of Medicine since its founding in 1976, has graduated 1860 (one thousand eight hundred and sixty) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various agencies in the field of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
