In his speech, Dr. Chatarina said that Eid al-Fitr is a momentum for change for the better in the future.
"After one month of fasting, curbing our worldly desires and drawing closer to God will of course give us spiritual strengthening, giving us confidence that Allah Almighty is truly good to all of us," she explained.
Therefore Dr. Chatarina hoped that there will be a strong commitment and sense of effort to be able to change into a better person than last year as a form of gratitude for all that God has given.
“Because life is an opportunity given to us by God to become better human beings. My hope is that this halalbihalal momentum will be a reflection for us together to be able to improve our services to the community as well as to the nation and state," she said.
The event then continued with a sermon delivered by the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K)., FISR. He said that halalbihalal is a form of human creativity in terms of culture and only exists in Indonesia.
"Indeed, the phrase halalbihalal sounds like Arabic, but in the culture of Arab countries itself, halalbihalal does not exist. There are many concepts circulating regarding the origin of halalbihalal, but the most famous is the concept of KH. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah," he explained.
It was further explained that this halalbihalal moment was an opportunity for all FK UNS academics to forgive each other.
“When Eid al-Fitr arrives, we are like newborn babies, free from sin and in a pure state. "However, being free from this sin is our sin against God, our sin against fellow human beings requires us to apologize and forgive each other," he explained.

Prof. Reviono said that according to KH. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah, as an educator must care about all the problems around him.
“We as educators must be able to create problem-solving concepts. Besides having to be creative and caring about the problems around them, an educator must also be capable and competent. I hope that my fellow lecturers here and later assisted by educational staff will be competent in carrying out their duties," he said.
At the end of his lecture, Prof. Reviono hopes that all FK UNS academics will take the current momentum to be able to move together to increase creativity and competence so that the quality of FK UNS will be even better in the future.
On this occasion FK UNS also gave appreciation to academics who had recently retired or transferred to other units outside FK UNS. This halalbihalal event then closed with greetings to each other.
