As a Study Program (Prodi) which has the vision of becoming an internationally renowned radiology specialist educational institution with excellence in the field of oncology radiology imaging and is community oriented. The Radiology Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) must undergo a reaccreditation process from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education Health (LAM-PTKes) as a form of external quality assurance for a study program in carrying out the educational process.

LAM-PTKes assigned dr. Lies Mardiyana, Sp.Rad(K)., PRP dr. Vonny Nouva Tubagus, Sp.Rad(K)., RI to conduct a field assessment at the PPDS Radiology Study Program FK UNS on April 1-3 2024.

On the first day of the assessment, the two assessors visited the main teaching hospital, namely Dr. Moewardi and UNS Hospital. On this occasion the two assessors saw firsthand the educational supporting facilities and infrastructure in the two hospitals.

According to Dr. Lies, the facilities owned by the two hospitals are very complete, have various sophisticated tools that really support the learning process, plus there are many cases that can increase students' knowledge.

Furthermore, on the second day of the assessment, the two assessors were received by Acting Officer Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); vice deans at FK UNS; and Head of the Radiology Study Program FK UNS, Dr. Rachmi Fauziah Rahayu, dr., Sp.Rad (K) in the Rector's Meeting Room, Dr. Prakosa Building UNS.

Prof. Yunus in his speech said that UNS continues to be committed to developing itself and improving quality.

"Thank God, after changing to PTNBH, the development of UNS continues to improve in quality, if we refer to our ranking, we are ranked seventh at the national level," Prof. Yunus said.

On this occasion Prof. Yunus also conveyed several advantages of the FK UNS PPDS Radiology Study Program, such as having complete consultant teaching staff in 8 subdivisions, the Main Teaching Hospital has superior services in the field of Integrated Oncology with very adequate Radiology infrastructure, including CT 512 dual sources, MRI 3T, Mammography, SPECT CT and Linac. Having a fostered village and a fostered community to support learning activities and the study program's vision and mission.

"Apart from that, many of the students from the Radiology Study Program FK UNS were first takers with national exam scores above average," Prof. Yunus explained.

After being received by the university leader, the two assessors along with the faculty and study program leaders headed to the hall of the FK UNS Soetjipto Building to undergo the field assessment process.

Dean of the UNS Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) hopes that this activity can run smoothly and can get results that will benefit everyone.

"We at FK UNS routinely undergo field assessments, which this time are carried out by external parties as a form of quality assurance for our study program and now it is time for us to get an audit from LAM-PTKes," Prof. Reviono said.

He hoped that on this occasion he can get suggestions and input from the two assessors. "We have tried to fulfill the forms that you have to fulfill and previously there was a visitation from the collegium. We really hope for input from the two assessors so that we can continue to improve to be even better in the future. Hopefully all of the field assessment processes can run well and smoothly and produce superior results," Prof. Reviono hoped.

The assessor representative, Dr. Lies Mardiyana, in his speech hoped that all documents and field assessment results would be in accordance with what had been previously reported.

"Our aim and purpose here are to see and photograph and adjust what has been uploaded by the Radiology Study Program to LAM-PTKes. We hope that we can all work together so that this assessment activity can run smoothly and produce the results we hope for together," she said.

After listening to the presentation from the Dean of FK UNS and the Head of the Study Program and conducting questions and answers, the two assessors conducted interviews with lecturers regarding lecturer adequacy figures and the learning curriculum provided to students, apart from that, interviews were also conducted with student representatives regarding academic and non-academic services. Interviews were also conducted with alumni users from the FK UNS Radiology Study Program.

The closing of this field assessment activity was carried out on the third day, marked by the signing and submission of the event report file from the assessor to the Head of the PPDS Radiology Study Program, FK UNS, followed by a group photo.
