FK UNS Again Releases New Specialist Doctors at the PPDS Release March 2024 Period
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) on Thursday (21/3/2024) again released new specialist doctors who had graduated from FK UNS. This event was attended by Acting Officer Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the vice deans of FK UNS, Deputy Director of Hospital Services Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, dr. Heri Dwi Purnomo, Sp.An; Deputy Director of Education and Research at UNS Hospital, Tonang Dwi Ardyanto, Sp.P.K., Ph.D; as well as all Heads of the FK UNS PPDS Study Program.
In the release of specialist doctors for the March period, the UNS Faculty of Medicine released a total of 7 new specialist doctors. One of them was a recipient of the Ministry of Health's Study Task scholarship, and until this month the total number of graduates receiving the Ministry of Health's Study Task scholarship is 347 people.

Based on the academic report read by Acting Officer Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, Paramasari Dirgahayu, dr., Ph.D, the 7 participants consisting of 1 person from the Heart and Blood Vessel Study Program, 1 person from the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program, 1 person from the Anesthesiology Study Program and Intensive Therapy, 4 people from the Clinical Pathology Study Program.
In this release, there were 3 participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA): Shigma Putra Mahaley, dr., Sp.J.P from the PPDS Heart and Blood Vessel Study Program, Ruth Indah Kurniawati, dr., Sp. P.K. and Pusparini Habsari, dr., Sp. P.K. both of whom came from the Clinical Pathology Study Program, all three achieved a GPA of 3.79.
Meanwhile, the youngest graduate in the PPDS release this time was Nathania Amelinda, dr., Sp.D.V, from the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program with an age of 33 years and 8 months at the time of graduation.
dr. Adi Kurniawan, Sp.An-Ti, representing the graduates, in his speech left a message to his colleagues not to become complacent because holding the title of specialist doctor does not mean stopping learning and serving.

"I invite all my colleagues not to be complacent, we are about to begin a new battle field. Let us provide the best possible service, always maintaining professionalism towards patients with full respect and compassion. "Don't forget, we must continue to participate in scientific activities and training to maintain our professionalism and abilities," he said.
Deputy Director of Services, RSUD Dr. Moewardi, Dr. Heri Dwi Purnomo, Sp.An. advised new specialist doctors not to stop learning and continue to increase their knowledge.
“I hope you all don't get tired and don't get bored of studying, the second is behavior problems. Usually, if you have the title of specialist doctor, you feel like you are at another level. "My hope is that the higher a person's education, the higher a person's status, the better his behavior will be, his politeness and his respect, especially towards parents," he said.
Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono, in his speech said that to become a good doctor, they must be a professional doctor.
“In professionalism there are several components such as competence. You have all been given sufficient competence in every medical skills activity or diagnosis method. Apart from that, we have also set an example of responsibility in the profession. "We have also taught patient safety, so that is all capital to become a professional," Prof. Reviono explained.

Apart from that, Prof. Reviono also advised that the new specialist doctors who are now alumni can maintain the good name of UNS and continue to maintain good relations with colleagues and with the alma mater.
With the release of specialist doctors this March period, since its founding in 1976, the UNS Faculty of Medicine has graduated 1855 (one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various agencies in the field of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
