Faculty of Medicine Wins 3rd Place in UNS Green Campus Competition
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) won 3rd place in the Green Campus Competition which was held as part of the UNS 48th Anniversary activities. This award was handed over directly by Acting Officer UNS Rector, Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H and received by the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) during the flag ceremony commemorating the 48th Anniversary of UNS, Thursday (7/3/2024).
This 3rd place achievement was the result of an assessment by the Green Campus Assessor Team who visited FK UNS directly on February 6 2024. A total of 10 people from the assessor team listened to the presentation from the FK UNS Green Campus Team led by Dr. Yuliana Heri Suselo, dr., M.Sc. before going around to see first hand the facilities and infrastructure owned by FK UNS to support the Green Campus program.
This activity was a continuation of the phase I assessment, namely uploading data related to Green Campus by the FK UNS Green Campus Team. This data was previously uploaded on the UNS Green Campus website.
The visitation activity, which is a phase II assessment, aims to cross check and verify the data that has been uploaded by the FK UNS Green Campus Team. Data verification covers 6 fields, namely the Setting and Infrastructure field, the Energy and Climate Change field, the Waste field, the Water field, the Transportation field and the Education and Research field.

According to one of the assessor team, Prof. Dr. Drs. Pranoto, M.Sc, this competition was not just a place to excel but more as a means of sharing experiences and ideas so that the environment on the UNS campus remains green and sustainable.
"This visitation is not only a data assessment event for the Green Campus competition, but also a place to share experiences and exchange ideas with the hope of creating a green and sustainable UNS campus environment. Apart from that, it is also to raise awareness of the UNS academic community in behaving greenly, to create a green environment wherever they are," he said.
It was hoped that achieving 3rd place in this year's Green Campus Competition can encourage the FK UNS academic community to care more about the environment so that Green Campus is not just a slogan.
