The ENT-HN Study Program of FK UNS Undergoes Accreditation Field Assessment from LAM-PTKes
As a Study Program which has the vision of realizing a specialist medical education program in Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Surgery (THT-BKL) which produces professional graduates with superior community ENT. The ENT-HN Study Program (PPDS THT-KL) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) must undergo a reaccreditation process from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education Health (LAM-PTKes) as a form of external quality assurance for a study program in carrying out the educational process.
Dr. Trimartani, dr., Sp.T.H.T.B.K.L., Subsp.F.P.R(K)., MARS and Dr. Melati Sudiro, dr., M.Kes., Sp.T.H.T.B.K.L., Subsp.A.I(K) was assigned by LAM-PTKes to conduct a field assessment at the ENT-HN Study Program on 13-15 December 2023.
The two assessors were received by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum; UNS Deputy Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); deputy deans at FK UNS; and Head of the ENT-HN Study Program, Dewi Pratiwi, dr., Sp.THT-KL(K), M.Kes in the Rector's Meeting Room, Prakosa UNS Building.
Prof. Jamal Wiwoho in his speech said that UNS continues to be committed to improving the quality of education provided.

"We have prepared ourselves seriously and as best as possible in facing this assessment process as our commitment to advancing the quality of education at UNS," Prof. Jamal said.
On this occasion Prof. Jamal also conveyed several advantages of the ENT-HN Study Program, such as having been established in 2005, having a vision and mission that is in line with the university's vision and mission, receiving support from the main teaching hospital and a network with sufficient numbers and variations of cases received. varied, supported by an adequate number of teaching staff with doctoral certification of 70% and playing an active role in national and international forums.
After being received by the university leadership, the two assessors along with the faculty and study program leaders headed to the FK UNS auditorium to undergo the field assessment process.
Dean of the UNS Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) hopes that this activity can run smoothly and can get results that will benefit everyone.
"We at FK UNS routinely undergo field assessments, this time carried out by external parties as a form of quality assurance for our study program and now it is time for us to get an audit from LAM-PTKes," Prof Reviono said.

He hoped that on this occasion he can get suggestions and input from the two assessors. "We have tried to fulfill the forms that you have to fulfill and previously there was a visitation from the collegium. We really hope for input from the two assessors so that we can continue to improve to be even better in the future. "Hopefully all of the field assessment processes can run well and smoothly and produce superior results," Prof. Reviono explained.
Dr. In her speech, Trimartani hoped that all documents and field assessment results would be in accordance with what had been previously reported.
"This morning the Rector conveyed the 11 advantages of the ENT-KL Study Program. We think these advantages have been prepared quite carefully and support government programs regarding transformation regarding health and human resources," Dr. Trimartani said.
He continued according to Dr. Martani, the presence of assessors to see directly the conditions in the field is hoped that all programs will be implemented well.
"We are sure that the implementation has been carried out, hopefully the 3-day assessment can run smoothly," she concluded.

After listening to the presentation from the Dean of FK UNS and the Head of the Study Program and conducting questions and answers, the two assessors conducted interviews with lecturers regarding lecturer adequacy figures and the learning curriculum provided to students, apart from that, interviews were also conducted with student representatives regarding academic and non-academic services.
The second day of the field assessment activity was filled with document searches on 9 criteria followed by a direct review of the existing infrastructure at the Teaching Hospital, namely Dr Moewardi Hospital and UNS Hospital. Both assessors were satisfied with the completeness of the facilities at the teaching hospital and the learning process at the two hospitals.

The closing of this field assessment activity was carried out on the third day marked by the signing and submission of the event report file from the assessor to the Head of the PPDS THT-KL FK UNS Study Program followed by a group photo.
