The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) received a visit from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas HKBP Nommensen (UHN) Medan on Tuesday (5/12/2023). The delegation from UHN, namely Dr. Novita Hasiani Simanjuntak, MARS and dr. Ristarin Paskarina Zaluchu, M.Med.Ed was received by the Vice Dean for Planning, Business Cooperation and Information, FK UNS, Dr. Selfi Handayani, dr., M.Kes; Head of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Dr. Eti Poncorini P, dr., M.Pd; Head of the FK UNS Field Lab, Bulan Kakanita Hermasari, dr., M.Med.Ed and FK UNS Lecturer Dr. Veronika Ika Budiastuti, dr., M.Pd.

In his speech, Dr. Selfi expressed her hope that this benchmarking could strengthen friendship with fellow Medical Faculties.

"We hope that this opportunity will not only be a means of sharing knowledge but can strengthen relationships among medical faculties because we are sure that on various occasions at activities held at the national level, we will definitely meet often," Dr. Selfi said.

She hopes that the goals and hopes of UHN carrying out this benchmarking can be achieved and bring benefits to UHN.

After listening to the presentation from Dr. Eti Poncorini and dr. Bulan regarding the implementation of IPE and various matters related to the implementation of IPE, the two delegations from UHN were invited to visit the FK UNS Field Lab office and see various implementation documents and IPE guidebooks.

Met after the activity, the Head of the UHN Assessment Division, dr. Novita Hasiani Simanjuntak, MARS explained that the purpose of FK UHN visiting FK UNS was to learn about the Interprofessional Education (IPE) learning system that had been implemented by FK UNS.

"Our goal here is to see what the IPE implemented at UNS is like, and as far as we know, UNS has been implementing this IPE for a long time and UNS has also been accredited as superior, so we can at least use what has been implemented at UNS as a role for Nommensen," she said.

According to her, this visit was very useful because it could provide a lot of information and knowledge about the implementation of IPE so that it is hoped that in the future it can be implemented at UHN.

"After receiving the presentation, it felt like we were enlightened, we were given an understanding of IPE, what we had to prepare and what the steps were because the presentation was quite detailed and very clear so we had an idea of what the implementation of IPE in Nommensen would be like," she closed.
