The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) on Thursday (30/11/2023) again released new specialist doctors who had graduated from FK UNS. This event was attended by Acting Officer Vice Rector for Research and Innovation UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the vice deans of FK UNS, Deputy Director of Human Resources and Education and Research at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, dr. Veronica Dwi Winahyu; Family Administrator of FK UNS Alumni, Dr. Muhammad Husen Prabowo, dr., MPH; Deputy Director of Education and Research at UNS Hospital, Tonang Dwi Ardyanto, Sp.P.K., Ph.D; as well as all Heads of the FK UNS PPDS Study Program.

In the release of specialist doctors this November, the UNS Faculty of Medicine released a total of 8 new specialist doctors. Based on the academic report read by the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, FK UNS, dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D, 8 release participants consisting of 6 people from the Psychiatry Study Program, 1 person from the Clinical Pathology Study Program, 1 person from the Heart and Blood Vessel Study Program.

In this release, there were participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA), achieved by Syifa Mahmud Syukran Akbar, dr., Sp.J.P with a GPA of 3.83 from the PPDS Heart and Blood Vessel Study Program and Rio Arizona, dr., Sp. P.K. with a GPA of 3.83 from the PPDS Clinical Pathology Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate in the PPDS Release this time was Hevi Eka Tarsum, dr., Sp.K.J, from the PPDS Psychiatry Study Program with an age of 31 years 10 months at the time of graduation.

Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T in his speech advised the new specialist doctors to always be sincere and selfless in carrying out their service.

"Our message for you when providing services to the community is to do it with full dedication, sincerity, sincerity and high dedication. When you find patients who are truly incapable, help them as much as we can, as much as possible. That is the best gold offering to UNS from an alumni," Prof. Kuncoro said.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono in his speech said that these specialist doctors were not wrong in choosing FK UNS as a place to study.

"I would like to thank you for choosing FK UNS as a place of education, and this is not wrong because in our current ranking FK UNS is ranked 3rd in Indonesia," Prof. Reviono mentioned.

Apart from that, Prof. Reviono also advised that the new specialist doctors who are now alumni can maintain the good name of UNS and continue to maintain good relations with colleagues and with the alma mater.

Deputy Director of Human Resources and Education at Dr. Hospital. Moewardi Surakarta, dr. Veronica Dwi Winahyu congratulated the doctor on his graduation.

"Congratulations on graduating, our message is to maintain integrity, obey the policy rules wherever the doctor will be assigned, then be honest, polite and polite in serving the community," he said.

Dr. Ardi Andriatno, Sp.K.J, representing the graduates, in his speech felt proud to be a student at FK UNS and expressed his gratitude for all the guidance and teaching provided by the campus during the process of gaining knowledge.

“Today will be a witness to our achievement in getting a new title. This new title for us is a whip to keep us humble. Even though our studies have been completed, we believe we will continue the learning process until our lives are taken away," he said.

With the release of specialist doctors this November, the UNS Faculty of Medicine since its founding in 1976, has graduated 1766 (one thousand seven hundred and sixty six) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various agencies in the field of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
