Alumni of FK UNS Class of 1995 won the 2023 National Public Service Award in the Health sector
The Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Republic of Indonesia awarded the 2023 public service award to government agencies on Tuesday (21/11/2023) in Jakarta. This award was directly given by the Minister of PANRB, Abdullah Azwar Anas.
On this occasion, two alumni of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) won awards for their role in improving the quality of public services.
The first alumni were dr. Joko Haryanto, M.M as Director of the Tarakan City General Hospital (RSUKT) represented the Tarakan City Government for its innovation in the form of Doctor Serasi (Doctor Information System Once Resume Entry Will Be Filled), namely an application to facilitate health services for medical personnel, patients and BPJS/other insurance. It is hoped that Si Dokter Serasi as a digital application can speed up the service process and also function as a public information disclosure and increase patient satisfaction.
By winning this award, dr. Joko Haryanto hoped to inspire other health people to continue to innovate in order to improve the quality and quality of services to the community.
"Regarding application development which is currently a demand and necessity in the era of digital transformation in health services, Si Dokter Serasi is here to simplify and speed up the service process for patients so that doctors can complete their tasks more easily, quickly and accurately. "Hopefully this innovation can be replicated in other hospitals throughout Indonesia as the front guard of complete health services to the community," he said.
The Serasi Doctor application is also included in the Top 45 Public Service Innovations category in 2023.
The second FK UNS alumni to receive an award on this occasion was Dr. Ovi Norfiana who serves as Head of Tanah Abang Community Health Center, Jakarta. The award won was as the Best Public Service Organizing Unit as a Provider of Friendly Infrastructure for Vulnerable Groups.
Dr. Ovi, who has been a Civil Servant in DKI Jakarta since 2006, hoped that the award he received can improve services to the community.
"Certainly, with this award, we will be even more motivated to be able to continue to improve services for vulnerable groups, especially those with disabilities, and continue to make innovations that can simplify and provide service satisfaction for vulnerable groups," she hoped.
Currently at the Tanah Abang Community Health Center, Jakarta, there are 30 employees who have taken sign language training. It was hoped that in the future more and more will be able to take this training.
According to the Head of the Anatomy Laboratory, FK UNS and Chair of the Class of 1995, Dr. Nanang Wiyono, M.Kes, The two alumni were classmates when they studied at FK UNS and entered in 1995. Both of them are known to have been active since their student days.
"After graduating from college, Dr. Joko worked in Kalimantan and currently serves as Director of the Tarakan City RSU since 2019, while Dr. Ovi has worked in Jakarta until now," Dr. Nanang explained.
As a classmate, Dr. Nanang felt proud because his friends were able to make achievements that could make FK UNS proud at the national level.
"I hope that the achievements of these friends can inspire fellow FK UNS alumni doctors and students to contribute in their respective fields so that they can be of benefit to society and bring a good name to the alma mater," he said.
