FK UNS Releases 10 New Specialist Doctors at the PPDS Release for the October 2023 Period


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) on Friday (27/10/2023) again released new specialist doctors who had just graduated from FK UNS. This event was attended by Plt. Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); Plt. Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, Paramasari Dirgahayu, dr., Ph.D; Hospital Director Dr. Moewardi, Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG., S.H; as well as all Heads of the FK UNS PPDS Study Program.

Based on the academic report read by Plt. Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, Paramasari Dirgahayu, dr., Ph.D, at the release of specialist doctors for the October 2023 period, FK UNS released a total of 10 PPDS students from 5 Study Programs consisting of 3 people from the Anesthesia and Therapy Study Program Intensive, 1 person from the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program, 2 people from the ENT-KL Health Sciences Study Program, 2 people from the Clinical Pathology Study Program, 2 people from the Internal Medicine Study Program.

In this release, the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) was achieved by Adam Hartono, dr., Sp.P.D (NIM S961908001) with a GPA of 3.95 from the PPDS Internal Medicine Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate in the PPDS Release this time was Nefrizal Wicaksono, dr., Sp.An-Ti, who came from the PPDS Anesthesia and Intensive Therapy Study Program with an age of 30 years and 1 month at the time of graduation.

Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T in his speech advised the new specialist doctors to always be sincere and selfless in carrying out their service.

"Our message for you when providing services to the community is to do it with full dedication, sincerity, sincerity and high dedication. When you find patients who are truly incapable, help them as much as we can, as much as possible. That is the best offering to UNS from an alumni," Prof. Kuncoro said.

Hospital Director Dr. Moewardi, Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG, S.H advised the new specialist doctors not to get caught up in industrialized health practices.

“Doctors will not be separated from medicine and the drug industry will be looking for us. Please maintain the ethics that you must be a good specialist doctor, a specialist doctor who follows the correct procedures and rules. Don't just obey what the vendor says and forget about the evidence-based things you have studied," Dr. Cahyono Hadi said.

He added that these new specialist doctors would be faced with many challenges in the future.

"In the future, all of you will be faced with many challenges because there will be regulations that will be removed or added. In the future, we will also face competition from foreign doctors entering Indonesia. However, as an alumnus of FK UNS, Dr Moewardi Hospital, I am sure that you are tough as long as you adhere to ethics, you adhere to what you have been taught, I think that you will be able to get through this," he said.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono in his speech said that specialist doctors must always uphold the basic principles in carrying out the medical profession.

“As a doctor, you must be able to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity and networking. "If all of you can carry out these principles well, it will be easier for you to achieve success," Prof. Reviono said.

He also advised that the new specialist doctors could maintain the good name of UNS and continue to maintain good relations with colleagues and the alma mater.

Dr. Adam Hartono, Sp.P.D, representing the graduates, in his speech felt proud to be a student at FK UNS and expressed his gratitude for all the guidance and teaching provided by the campus during the process of gaining knowledge.

“Our achievements today prove that our persistence and hard work so far can produce good results. On this occasion we would like to express our highest gratitude and appreciation to our teachers for the guidance and knowledge they have provided so far," he said.

With the release of specialist doctors for the October 2023 period, the UNS Faculty of Medicine, since its founding in 1976, has graduated 1758 (one thousand seven hundred and forty eight) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various agencies both in the field of service. health, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
