FK UNS Clinical Pathology PPDS Study Program Undergoes Accreditation Field Assessment from LAM-PTKes
As a Study Program (Prodi) which has the vision of becoming a Clinical Pathology Specialist Education Program that produces competent and professional graduates, with an international reputation, superior in the field of Hematology-Oncology oriented towards problems in the community. The Clinical Pathology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine (FK) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) must undergo an accreditation process from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Universities (LAM-PTKes) as a form of quality assurance for a study program in carrying out the educational process.
Prof. Dr. Anak Agung Wiradewi Lestari, dr., Sp.P.K(K) and Rahmawati Minhajat, dr., PhD., Sp.P.D, K-HOM, FINASIM were assigned by LAM-PTKes to conduct a field assessment in the Clinical Pathology Study Program of FK UNS on October 16, 2023.
The two assessors were accepted by Plt. UNS Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S; dean of FK UNS; vice deans at FK UNS; and Head of the FK UNS Clinical Pathology Study Program, B. Rina Aninda Sidharta, dr., Sp.P.K(K) in the Chancellor's Meeting Room, UNS Prakosa Building.

Prof. Yunus in his speech said that UNS continues to be committed to improving the quality of education provided.
"I need to say that after UNS changed to PTNBH in 2020 or around 3 years ago, we continued to try to advance and improve the quality of education at UNS," Prof. Yunus said.
On this occasion Prof. Yunus also conveyed several advantages of the FK UNS Clinical Pathology Study Program, such as having been accredited as superior since 2018, having a vision and mission that is in line with the university's vision and mission, having a good and structured curriculum, having superior courses, namely Hematology-Oncology, establishing good cooperation in national and international levels and has qualified teaching staff at both national and international levels.
After being received by the university leadership, the two assessors along with the faculty and study program leaders headed to the FK UNS auditorium to undergo the field assessment process.
Dean of the UNS Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), hopes that this activity can run smoothly and can get results that will benefit everyone.

"On this occasion, we from FK UNS routinely receive field assessments as part of external quality audits and this is needed by us to move forward. We really hope for input from the two assessors so that we can continue to improve to be even better in the future. "Hopefully all of these field assessment processes can run well and smoothly and can produce superior results for the FK UNS Clinical Pathology study program," Prof. Reviono said.
Prof. In her speech, Wiradewi hoped that all documents and field assessment results would be in accordance with what had been previously reported.
"We were assigned by LAM-PTKes to see directly what had been conveyed to LAM-PTKes by uploading documents. We have read and provided an initial assessment of the things that have been uploaded by the study program regarding the 9 criteria in the assessment. "We ask for permission to request verification of these matters so that we can report them to the panel at LAM-PTKes," Prof. Wiradevi said.

After listening to the presentation from the Dean of FK UNS and the Head of the Study Program and conducting questions and answers, the two assessors conducted interviews with lecturers regarding lecturer adequacy figures and the learning curriculum provided to students, apart from that, interviews were also conducted with student representatives regarding academic and non-academic services.
This series of field assessment processes closed with the signing and submission of activity reports signed by the two assessors and the Head of the Clinical Pathology Study Program of FK UNS.
