Prof. Dr. Ida Nurwati, dr., M.Kes Becomes the 47th Professor of FK UNS in the field of Medical Acupuncture


 

Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) officially added one new professor. The addition of this professor after the inauguration of Prof. Dr. Ida Nurwati, dr., M.Kes became a professor in the field of Medical Acupuncture on Tuesday (29/08/2023) at the G.P.H Haryo Mataram Auditorium, UNS.

Prof Ida is the 47th professor at the Faculty of Medicine UNS and the 272nd professor at UNS. In his inauguration speech, he took the title of the Role of Medical Acupuncture in Health Development: A Reflection and Future Challenges.

The title of Professor that has been carried certainly brings its own challenges to be able to revive a good academic culture in research and teaching as well as carry out the scientific development it has.

UNS Rector, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum in his speech felt positive developments in scientific dynamics and management of promotion at UNS.

"I am optimistic that the target of 10% of the number of UNS Professors by the end of 2023 will be met, considering that to date the percentage of UNS Professors has reached 9.71%, and in the near future we are waiting for 14 more Professors who are ready to be confirmed," he said.

Interviewed during a thanksgiving event held at the FK UNS Auditorium, Prof. Ida felt grateful to be able to get the title of professor.

"I am very grateful that I was able to go through all of this process, it was a very long process and the files were even returned because there was a deficiency, but thank God everything went well so that I could become a professor," Prof. Ida said.

Acting Officer Vice Dean for Human Resources, Finance and Logistics FK UNS, Dr. Diah Kurnia Mirawati, dr., Sp.S(K) feels proud of the achievements achieved by Prof. Ida Nurwati.

"We feel proud of the achievements achieved by Prof. Ida Nurwati so that now she can become a professor, hopefully this achievement can inspire all her fellow lecturers," she said.
