The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) successfully carried out the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) activities in 2023. At the closing ceremony of the PKKMB activities on Wednesday (23/8/2023), it was enlivened with a flashmob and handing over 278 pots of plants to be used as a vertical garden as a symbol of student support for the UNS Green Campus program.

In organizing the PKKMB, which began on August 21 2023, the whole event ran smoothly with various materials such as campus life management, introduction of faculty leaders, introduction of study program leaders, lecture system, and student organizations.

At the closing of PKKMB, Acting Deputy Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs FK UNS, Paramasari Dirgahayu, dr. Ph.D said that the submission of 278 plants for the vertical garden of FK UNS was a form of expected contribution to the UNS Green Campus.

“The creation of this vertical garden is a form of FK UNS's contribution in supporting UNS as a Green Campus. It is hoped that UNS can increase again to a higher Green Campus ranking," dr. Paramasari said.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, Sp.P(K), also emphasized that this PKKMB activity is important so that new students get to know the campus better.

"This activity is very important because students will later be studying on campus for a long time, so they must be well acquainted with what is on campus, both educational services and administrative places or leadership places, laboratories and rules that must be understood while studying," Prof. Reviono said.

In accordance with the instructions of the Rector of UNS, the entire PKKMB series ended at 05.00 PM. The FK UNS leaders and the PKKMB committee waited and ensured that new students left the PKKMB location until the specified deadline.
