FK UNS Again Releases New Specialist Doctors Period July 2023
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) on Friday (21/7/2023) released another specialist doctor who had just graduated from FK UNS. This event was attended by Acting Officer UNS Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T; Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the Acting Officer Vice Deans of FK UNS, Acting Officer Vice Director for Hospital Services Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, dr. Heri Dwi Purnomo, Sp.An(K); UNS Hospital Vice Director of Finance and Human Resources, Dr. Jaka Winarna, M.Si., Ak; as well as all the Heads of the FK UNS PPDS Study Program.
At the release of specialist doctors for the July 2023 period, the Faculty of Medicine released 14 PPDS students. Based on the academic report read by the Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs FK UNS, Paramasari Dirgahayu, dr., Ph.D, 14 discharge participants consisted of 3 people from the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Program, 8 people from the Internal Medicine Study Program, 2 people from the Orthopedic and Traumatology Study Program, 1 person from the ENT-KL Health Sciences Study Program.
In this release there were participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by Komarudin, dr., Sp.P.D (NIM S961908007) with a GPA of 3.89 coming from the Internal Medicine PPDS Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate at the Release of PPDS this time was Ega Caesaria Pratama Putra, dr., Sp.P.D from the Internal Medicine PPDS Study Program and was 30 years and 1 month old at the time of graduation.
Marcellino Mettafortuna Sephberlian, dr., Sp.P.D, representing the graduates, in his speech felt proud to be a student at FK UNS and expressed his gratitude for all the guidance and teaching given by the campus during the process of studying.
"We hope that we can apply the experience and knowledge we get from our teachers, we will run it as best we can for the wider community. Because in essence good knowledge is knowledge that is beneficial to others," he said.
Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono in his speech said that it is time for specialist doctors who have just been appointed to be ready for the many challenges ahead of them.
"There are quite a lot of challenges from specialist doctors, besides the challenges in the form of new cases there may also be challenges from changes in the four point zero world community which change the order which will impact on changes in the field of health services and also challenges from regulations which will change a lot," Prof. Reviono said.
However Prof. Reviono advised that alumni from FK UNS should not be afraid of these challenges.
“All of you are graduates of FK UNS which is one of the best medical faculties in Indonesia. The PPDS student admission selection process is quite strict, so you can be sure that all of you are the best in your field," he concluded.
Acting Officer UNS Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T, on this occasion advised new medical specialists:
"I hope that all of you whom we released today will continue to be enthusiastic about becoming lifelong learners and dedicating all your knowledge for the benefit of advancing public health services. As a very noble profession, you should all maintain the good name and image of UNS and always have mutual respect for patients, family and colleagues."
With the release of specialist doctors for the period of July 2023, since its establishment in 1976, the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, has graduated 1709 (one thousand seven hundred and nine) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions in the fields of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
