FK UNS Releases 21 New Specialist Doctors for the April 2023 Period


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) on Thursday (6/4/2023), held a Specialist Doctors Farewell Ceremony Event for the April 2023 Period. This event was attended by the Dean of the UNS FK, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K); the deputy deans of FK UNS, Deputy Director of Hospital Services Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, Heri Dwi Purnomo, dr., Sp.An; Deputy Director of Education and Research at UNS Hospital, Tonang Dwi Ardyanto, Sp.P.K., Ph.D; as well as all the Heads of the FK UNS PPDS Study Program.

The release event was attended by 21 PPDS FK UNS students from 5 Study Programs (Prodi). 4 of the participants were recipients of the Ministry of Health Study Assignment Scholarship. In this release, there were participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by Idil Akbar, dr., Sp.P.D (NIM S961902006) with a GPA of 3.90 from the Internal Medicine Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest graduate at the PPDS Release this time was Eka Satrio Putra, dr., Sp.An from the PPDS Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Program and was 31 years and 2 months old when he graduated.

Based on the report of the Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs FK UNS, dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D., 21 graduates consisted of ten students from the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Program, one student from the Internal Medicine Study Program, one student from the Heart and Vascular Study Program, seven students from the Psychiatry Study Program, and two students from the Ear Nose Throat Head and Neck Surgery Study Program.

As many as four students who took part in the release were recipients of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) Study Scholarship of the Republic of Indonesia (RI). Until now, a total of 324 UNS PPDS graduates have received the scholarship.

dr. Febri Akhmad Belinda, Sp.An, representing the graduates, in his speech felt proud to be a student at FK UNS and expressed his gratitude for all the guidance and teaching provided by the campus during the process of studying.

"Being accepted and becoming a student in the Specialist Medical Education Program at the UNS Faculty of Medicine is an extraordinary opportunity, a valuable opportunity for us so that we can learn and gain knowledge from teachers who are very competent and knowledgeable," he said.

He further conveyed that the momentum of graduation can be interpreted as the right time to reflect on the meaning of graduation. He hoped that PPDS FK UNS will continue to develop in the future.

General Chairperson of the FK UNS Alumni Family, dr. Sri Pratomo, Sp.B, FInaCS, FICS advised graduates to stick to competence and maintain three things.

"Specialists are now full of challenges, but don't let these challenges reduce your enthusiasm for self-development. I believe that specialist doctors are multitalented. Competence is different from being able, competence has its own criteria. So, ladies and gentlemen, you have to understand correctly what the competencies are. Please hold on to three things that we must remember, firstly take care of colleagues, secondly maintain politeness, and maintain togetherness," he said.

Deputy Director of Service, RSUD Dr. Moewardi, dr. Heri Dwi Purnomo, Sp.An. congratulations on graduating specialist doctor.

"Congratulations on your graduation, I hope you can become a motorbike in your respective regions. Specialist doctors must have 3 provisions, namely the first is knowledge, the second is skill or skills and the third is honesty," he mentioned.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono in his speech said that it was time for the specialist who had just been appointed to show his identity.

"These new medical specialists, immediately go into the community, provide what they have obtained in their respective study programs in accordance with their respective competencies to serve the community," Prof. Reviono explained.

Besides that Prof. Reviono also advised that the new medical specialists who are now alumni can maintain the good name of UNS and continue to maintain friendship with colleagues and their alma mater.

With the release of specialist doctors for the April 2023 period, since its establishment in 1976, the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, has graduated 1656 (one thousand six hundred and fifty six) specialist doctors, who have spread all over the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions both in the service sector health, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for the government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
