As an appreciation for the winners of the 2023 Medical Fiesta, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS), FK UNS held an Awarding Medical Fiesta 2023. The Medical Fiesta 2023 was held to commemorate the 47th Anniversary of Universitas Sebelas Maret.

The event which was held on Tuesday (21/3/2023) at the G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS apart from announcing the winners of the competitions in the 2023 Medical Fiesta event, it was also a place for the competition winners to appear and stage a parody drama in front of faculty leaders and hundreds of FK students.

UNS Faculty of Medicine Dean, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), in his remarks said that the Medical Fiesta 2023 was a forum provided by FK UNS to combine the potentials of the non-academic talents of FK UNS academics.

"Actually, we all know that the UNS Faculty of Medicine is number 5 in the national ranking for academics. So, then I took the initiative with the faculty leadership how to provide a place apart from academics, non-academics as well. So we will make several facilities, such as futsal venues and others, we will also prepare," Prof. Reviono explained.

Prof. Reviono added in his remarks that apart from being a forum for non-academic talents of FK UNS academics, this Medical Fiesta also presented collaborative performances from representatives of almost all study programs in FK which were packaged in a parody drama performance.

“I also made a collaboration, a collaboration show. It might be in the parody later. There are almost all study programs in the parody. But there is no competition, but collaboration, and in my opinion there is not much that can be done by other faculties, because it is also quite complicated to gather people from various study programs," Prof. Reviono said.

On this occasion, Prof. Reviono also showed his skill in singing by performing 2 songs with Medical Rock Band, namely 1 song from NOAH with the title Topeng and 1 song from The Rolling Stones with the title Honky Tonk Women.

It is hoped that the Medical Fiesta 2023 event can be a means of channelling talent interests in the fields of arts, culture and sports for the Faculty of Medicine academic community as well as a means of strengthening the unity of the FK UNS academic community.
