FK UNS Signs Cooperation Agreement with Free Health Service (LKC) Dompet Dhuafa, Central Java


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) cooperated with Free Health Service (LKC) Dompet Dhuafa Central Java in terms of handling the problem of stunting in toddlers, which was embodied in the Inspiring Midwife for the Country (BIUN) program.

This collaboration was marked by the signing of a collaboration document between the Dean of the UNS Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), and Director of LKC Dompet Dhuafa Central Java, Titi Ngudiati, S.I.Kom., M.Sc, at Meeting Room I, Soetjipto Building, Faculty of Medicine UNS on Wednesday (01/02/2023).

The signing was witnessed by the Vice Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation and Information FK UNS, Dr. Selfi Handayani, dr., M.Kes, Head of the Undergraduate Study Program and Midwife Professional Study Program, Head of Applied Midwifery Study Program and implementer of the BIUN program, Dr. Grhasta Dian Perestroika, S.ST., M.Kes and Niken Bayu Argaheni, S.ST., M.Keb.

Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) in his remarks explained that the signing of this collaboration was a means to improve public health through research and lecturer community service.

"I hope this collaboration can continue to be active and always bring up various activities that are beneficial for both parties and especially for the community," Prof. Reviono in his speech said.

He also hoped that both parties will be more active, creative and innovative in bringing up various programs to improve public health.

Director of LKC Dompet Dhuafa Central Java, Titi Ngudiati, S.I.Kom., M.Si welcomed this collaboration. Her organization was also ready to work together by providing financial support and other needs according to the agreement.

"This collaboration is a follow-up step from the Inspiring Midwife Program for the Nation as a joint effort to involve academic friends in efforts to eliminate stunting through the REKIS innovation initiated by friends from the Midwifery Study Program FK UNS," Titi explained.

It should be noted that the BIUN program is an innovation program to accelerate the handling of stunting problems through activities to increase the resilience of mothers with stunted children (REKIS). With this collaboration, REKIS activities in the BIUN program are projected to be implemented at a broader target in Central Java Province and even at the national level.
