The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Student Appreciation Night which took place at the G.P.H. Auditorium. Haryo Mataram UNS on Friday (23/12/2022). This activity aims to give appreciation to FK students who excel, both in academic and non-academic fields.

This event was attended by the leadership of FK UNS, lecturers and outstanding students in the Faculty of Medicine. In his remarks, Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs of FK UNS, Paramasari Dirgahayu dr., Ph.D. said that this event is an annual agenda held at the end of the year.

"Today there will be more than 200 awards for students, both competitive and non-competitive achievements. We give awards to students who are willing to spend their time honing their knowledge and soft skills in order to equip themselves to become professional and excellent graduates," said dr. Sari giving a speech.

Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), said that this award was not only given to undergraduate students, but all levels, including professional education.

"Currently, there are 19 study programs in FK. We are a big family, not only Bachelor of Medicine, but also professions, midwifery, PPDS, up to S-3. The UKT paid for younger siblings can be for anything, including achievement. So, those attending tonight are students who can make good use of their UKT. What is paid to the university can be earned back with achievements," said Prof. Reviono.

Before closing his remarks, Prof. Reviono advised that FK students can make the highest achievements.

“The UNS medical strictness score is high, to enter here you have to beat many competitors. This means that younger siblings have great qualities and potential. Now it's up to the younger siblings whether they want to cultivate and develop this potential or not," he concluded.
