Doing research is an important thing to be done by the academic community in Higher Education. This is because research aims to inform an act of scientific development as well as prove a theory and contribute to developing the field of study. After conducting research, the next important thing to do is to publish, publication is important to do so that the work or findings can be known and useful for many people.

With the background of the importance of writing scientific publications by the academic community at universities and to support the vision of UNS as a world class university, one of the indicators for the assessment is research and publications, the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) held a Workshop on Bibliometric Analysis and Writing Journal articles that will be held from Wednesday to Friday, October 26 - 28 2022, are located at Nava Hotel, Tawangmangu, Karanganyar. This activity is included in the FK UNS Creative Leap entitled: Innovation Program on Neuroscience and Medical Animal Laboratory for the development of Brain Research Center. This activity was realized in the Bibliometrics Workshop on Analysis and Writing of Journal Articles which was held from Wednesday to Friday, 26 - 28 October 2022, located at Nava Hotel, Tawangmangu, Karanganyar.

The event which was attended by 38 participants was opened by Brian Wasita, dr., P.hD., Sp.PA as the chairman of the committee via virtual due to being unable to attend in the venue. This workshop invited two speakers, namely Apt. Then M Irham, M. Farm., Ph.D and Puji Rahayu, S.Pd., MLST, Ph.D.

At the opening of the event, dr. Brian said that this program was in line with UNS' vision as a world class university.

“One of the supporting points for a world class university is seen from the research and publication indicators. Therefore, it is hoped that from this program, FK UNS will participate in developing the KPI regarding research and publications," dr.Brian explained.

After being opened by dr.Brian, the event continued with the delivery of workshop materials. The first material was delivered by Apt. Then M Irham, M. Farm., Ph.D. He conveyed about big data as a source for writing scientific articles as well as a genomic database for drug repurposing model research. After delivering the material, the event continued with a question and answer session moderated by Suyatmi, dr, Mbiomed, Sci.

On the second day of the workshop, the event continued with the practice of using genomic data bases in drug repurposing model research which was divided into two practice sessions. This practice is still guided by Apt. Then M Irham, M. Farm., Ph.D moderated by Dono Indarto, dr., M.Biotech.St, Ph.D., AIFM.

Then at 13.00 WIB, continued with the presentation of material by Puji Rahayu, S.Pd., MLST, Ph.D. moderated by Tri Nugraha Susilawati, dr., M.Med., Ph.D. The material presented in the session was 'Effective Use of English on writing manuscripts', namely the effectiveness of using English in writing manuscripts. Participants were given insight into the effectiveness of using English in research writing.

On the third day of the workshop, participants received practical materials for writing manuscripts and cover letters which was guided by the two speakers. Participants who were dominated by FK UNS educators were very enthusiastic in the discussion session until the closing ceremony.
