FK UNS Receives a Visit from the Health Directorate of the Ministry of Defense in the Context of Monitoring and Evaluation of Learning Tasks Officers


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) received a visit from the Directorate of Health (Ditkes) of the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) of the Republic of Indonesia on Friday (28/10/2022). The meeting which took place in the FK UNS auditorium was in the context of Monitoring and Evaluation of the Learning Task Officers (Patubel) Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS) of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia in FK UNS.

Present at this meeting the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), along with the vice deans; First Marshal (Marsma) TNI, dr. Budi Satriyo Utomo, Sp.KFR. MARS as the Health Director of the Defense Forces of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense; Head of PPDS Study Program (Prodi) at FK UNS and Patubel Kemhan students who are carrying out education at FK UNS. The number of participants who received scholarships for study assignments from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia at FK UNS currently amounted to 33 people.

During this visit, Marsma TNI, dr. Budi Satriyo Utomo wanted to hear firsthand the development of the pable education process who is currently studying PPDS at FK UNS.

He also said that the Directorate of Health of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia has collaborated with many universities in Indonesia in the field of preparing health experts by providing scholarships for study assignments to TNI soldiers and PNS Kemhan.

"As we all know, the Covid-19 pandemic has almost paralyzed a national defense and almost all countries are not ready for this situation. The TNI is present in preparing health facilities, we have 140 hospitals in all ranks, all of which require professional health workers," he said.

According to law number 36 of 2014 concerning health workers, the government seeks to give primary attention to health services so that the provision of health workers is expected to be more professional.

"The state is currently calling you to immediately complete your education because all TNI health facilities need personnel who will be prepared to become agents of change there," he said.

According to the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono, monitoring and evaluation activities like this are routine activities carried out every year.

"Monev activities like this are routinely carried out to find out the progress of pable studies, but during the pandemic yesterday they were carried out online," he said.

On this occasion, all the heads of PPDS FK UNS study programs submitted study reports of capable students in their study programs to the Director of Health of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia. It is hoped that this monitoring and evaluation can provide an overview of the educational process that is being carried out by Patubel and provide solutions to problems that exist during the education process.
