FK UNS Releases 14 New Specialist Doctors for the Period of October 2022


 

The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) through the Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS) on Friday (28/10/2022), held an event for the Release of Specialist Doctors for the October 2022 Period. This event was held offline at the Auditorium of FK UNS and broadcast live through the FK UNS Youtube channel.

The activity was attended by the Vice Rector for General and Human Resources of (HR) UNS, Prof. Dr. Bandi, M.Sc., Ak.; The Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. dr. Reviono, Sp. P(K); deputy deans; Director of Dr.Moewardi Hospital Surakarta, Dr. dr. Cahyono Hadi, Sp.OG(K)., S.H.; Director of Human Resources, Education, and General Orthopedic Hospital (RSO) Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta, drg. Moh. Nur Nasiruddin, M.Kes.; Deputy Director of Education and Research at UNS Hospital, dr. Tonang Dwi Aryanto, Sp.PK(K), Ph.D.; the Heads of the Specialist Medical Education Study Program of FK UNS; and Chairman of the Alumni Family Association (IKA) FK UNS, dr. Sri Pratomo, Sp.B., FinaCS., FICS.

This release event was attended by 14 PPDS FK UNS students from 6 Study Programs (Prodi). In this release, there were participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by Tiara Maharani, dr. Sp.P.D with a GPA of 3.89 from the Internal Medicine Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest specialist graduate is Tatas Bayu Mursito, dr., Sp.P.D., who also comes from the Internal Medicine Study Program and is 30 years old at the time of graduation.

In his speech, the Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Reviono reminded of the many challenges ahead. FK UNS has tried to fulfil the facilities in an effort to fulfil the specified competencies. Cooperation between health agencies also plays a role in increasing competence and developing knowledge.

 "We have tried our best to provide sufficient provisions (to specialist doctors) to work anywhere," Prof. Reviono said.

Furthermore, Prof. Reviono advised specialist doctors after becoming alumni and taking part in the community to always maintain integrity, professionalism, and good networks.

Hospital Director Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG, on this occasion expressed his support for the Faculty of Medicine UNS in carrying out education at Dr. Moewardi Hospital.

“In principle I, Dr. Hospital. Moewardi, the Central Java Provincial Government fully supports medical education, specialist education, if necessary specialist 2 for FK UNS," Dr. Cahyono Hadi said.

Prof. Bandi as the Vice Rector for General and Human Resources of UNS advised to always pay attention to the latest scientific developments. At the moment that coincided with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, he also appreciated the dedication of health workers to serve the country and serve the community.

Prof. Bandi highlighted that medical education is an inseparable part of national health services. Mastery of science, skills, and behavior of doctor graduates is one of the main determinants of the quality of medical care services to the community.

"The quality of a doctor is also determined by the nobility of his noble character in the form of politeness, professional ethics, and the ability to cooperate with other health professions," said Prof. Bandi.

With the release of specialist doctors for the period of October 2022, the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, since its establishment in 1976, has graduated 1,570 (one thousand five hundred and seventy) specialist doctors, who have been spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions, both in the field of health services, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
