Dermatology and Venereology Study Program FK UNS Undergoes Accreditation Field Assessment from LAM-PTKes
As a Study Program (Prodi) that has a vision of producing superior and quality graduates in their fields, the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) must undergo an accreditation process from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes) as a form of quality assurance of a study program in carrying out the educational process.
Prof. Dr. dr. Cita Rosita Sigit Prakoeswa, Sp.KK(K)., FINSDV., FAADV and dr. Hendra Gunawan, Sp.KK(K)., Ph.D., FINSDV., FAADV were assigned by LAM-PTKes to conduct a field assessment at the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program, FK UNS on 25-27 October 2022.
Before starting the field assessment on the first day, the two assessors were received by the Deputy Chancellor of Research and Technology UNS, Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T in the Rector's Meeting Room, Prakosa Building, UNS.
"Actually, the accreditation is a portrait, because if we look in the mirror we only see our face or kindness, but if someone takes a picture of us from behind then we will know what our shortcomings are so that we can correct our shortcomings," Prof. Kuncoro said.
According to him, the results of the accreditation were indeed important, but there were more important things, namely quality improvement and follow-up to the recommendations of the assessors so that the Dermatology and Venereology study program at FK UNS can develop to be better.
After meeting with the university leadership, the group headed to the FK UNS Auditorium to start field assessment activities. The activity started with a presentation about the profile of the UNS Faculty of Medicine by the Dean of the UNS Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), followed by a presentation of the profile of the study program by the Head of the PPDS Dermatology and Venereology Study Program, FK UNS, Dr. dr. Endra Yustin Ellistasari, M.Sc., Sp.KK(K). Then the event continued with a question and answer session by the two assessors with the heads of faculties and study programs.
At the end of the field assessment on the first day, the two assessors held interviews with the lecturers about the adequacy rate of lecturers and the learning curriculum provided to students, in addition to interviews with student representatives about academic and non-academic services.
