FK UNS Receives a Visit from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Health Office
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) as one of the best medical faculties in Indonesia has produced many graduates of doctors and specialists who have spread across the country. This is what underlies the Health Office (Dinkes) of Central Kalimantan Province on Wednesday (19/10/2022) to visit FK UNS in order to explore the possibility of cooperation regarding the Study Task of Specialist Doctors from Central Kalimantan Province.
Head of SDK Division of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Health Office, dr. Damar Pramusinta., M.PH, said that this visit was an effort from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Health Office to facilitate doctors to take specialist studies.
"Our real aim and objective is to provide scholarship assistance for study assignments to PNS and non-PNS doctors working in Central Kalimantan Province," he said.
It was further conveyed that in the western region of Central Kalimantan Province a new hospital would be built which would certainly require a lot of health workers and at this time the number of general practitioners and specialists in Central Kalimantan Province was still considered insufficient.
"Therefore we were assigned to explore the possibility of cooperation with FK UNS and we will convey what we get later to the head of the service and will discuss it together with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government," he said.
The Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) appreciated the visit from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Health Office. He hopes that this exploration can continue into a collaboration that can bring benefits to both parties.
"Hopefully this exploration can continue to become a collaboration that can bring benefits to all of us, especially to the community because the community's need for specialist doctors is still very high," Prof. Reviono said.
