FK UNS Receives SMAN 7 South Tangerang Outing Class Visit
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on Tuesday (11/10/2022) received a visit from Public Senior High School (SMAN) 7 South Tangerang students. A total of 200 students and 13 accompanying teachers who participated in this campus visit were received directly by dr. Maryani, M.Si, Sp.MK as the Head of the Quality Control Group representing the Head of the Medical Education Study Program of FK UNS who was unable to attend.
On this occasion, the Principal of SMAN 7 South Tangerang, Muhaji Joko Tingkir, S.Pd expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to his students to visit the Faculty of Medicine, UNS.
"Our hope is that if our children are introduced to what studying in university is like, we hope that next year when the children here graduate, they will no longer be confused about what major to choose," he said.
“And what is certain, our hope is that next year our students will be accepted or invited to this UNS Faculty of Medicine. Hopefully after visiting here, our children will get new experiences and open their horizons if good universities are not only in Jakarta,” he continued.
This campus visit activity began with the presentation of the profile of the Medical Faculty UNS Education study program by dr. Maryani, M.Sc., Sp.MK continued with an explanation of the student admission process, facilities owned and an overview of learning at FK UNS. The event was also filled with a question and answer session with the students. Furthermore, the students were invited to go around to various places to see the facilities and infrastructure owned by FK UNS.
Adlen Stanley, one of the students of SMAN 7 South Tangerang said that the facilities owned by FK UNS were quite complete.
"It's nice to be able to visit here, the facilities at FK UNS are also very complete, the laboratories are good, the canteen is spacious and clean, the campus atmosphere with lots of trees also feels quite comfortable for studying," he said.
By holding outing class activities like this, it is hoped that students who are still in high school can have insight into the world of lectures, especially at the Faculty of Medicine so that when they graduate from high school and intend to continue to college, they will no longer be confused when they have to choose the choice of study program will be selected.
