To improve the quality of tutorial learning at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), the Curriculum Development Unit (UPK) FK UNS held a Training of Tutor (ToT) Workshop. The activity which was held on Wednesday (7/10/2022) was held at the UNS Medical Faculty Auditorium and was attended by participants who were teachers or tutors in the UNS Medical Faculty Study Program (Prodi).

The workshop was opened by the Vice Dean for Academics, Research and Student Affairs, dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D. In his speech, he hoped that there would be input from the participants so that the quality of tutorial learning in the future would be even better.

"This morning, the latest modifications of the tutorial will be delivered and we also hope for input from all of you, during the tutorial yesterday, what obstacles were encountered, including problems from students," he said.

On this occasion, dr. Paramasari also left a message to the tutors who will directly deal with students to also instill ethical values so that it is not only about academics that continues to be taught so that FK UNS students later when they graduate can become human beings who are useful and noble in character.

In this workshop, dr. Dian Nugroho, M.Med.Ed as the speaker said that the Training of Tutors is a form of maintaining the quality of learning.

“We, in this case, the Faculty of Medicine, when guiding the formation of medical faculties at other universities often said that to carry out the tutorial, standardization was needed. Now this ToT activity is a form of standardization and ideally those who take part in this activity are those who have the right to become tutors," he explained.

In addition to talking about how to deal with problems that arise during tutorial activities, dr. Dian also distributes material in the form of videos that contain illustrations of good and correct examples of tutorials. It is hoped that this ToT activity can give participants an idea of how to give the correct tutorial so that the quality standard of tutorial learning at FK UNS is maintained.
