The Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on Thursday (29/9/2022) received a visit from the Faculty of Medicine, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN), Jakarta. The visit to FK UNS was aimed at comparative studies on 3 things, namely: academic study programs (study programs) for postgraduate and specialist education; personnel and financial administration; development of research and venture cooperation.

Vice Dean for General Administration of FK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, dr. Fika Ekayanti, DKK., Med. Ed on this occasion expressed his gratitude for the welcome from FK UNS.

“On behalf of the team who attended this morning, I would like to thank you for the welcome given to us. Our goal to visit UNS Medical Faculty is to renew our strategic plan which ends in 2022, so we consider it necessary to share with UNS Medical Faculty," said dr. Fika.

“Actually we have a consultant for this strategic plan problem and from our consultant we suggest to see which university will be used as an example. Can we be like UNS? In addition, we are also in the process of opening a Specialist Study Program, we have obtained permission for obstetrics and gynecology specialists and are in the process of being a lung specialist. So, we think that a visit to FK UNS is appropriate because at FK UNS has experience in managing PPDS," she said.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) welcomed the visit from FK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah.

"We welcome the good purpose of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta to see firsthand, this comparative study to the UNS FK," he said.

“According to the application letter I received, there are 3 topics that will be discussed in this meeting. Hopefully what is expected by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah can be achieved at this meeting and bring benefits to the development of our respective Faculty of Medicine," he concluded.

In addition to discussing and sharing experiences about the management of the Faculty of Medicine, the team from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah also took the time to visit the anatomy laboratory at FK UNS.
