The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) on Wednesday (28/09/2022) received a visit from students of the Integrated Islamic Senior High School (SMA IT) Nurul Fikri Boarding School Serang Banten at the FK UNS Auditorium.

There were around 50 students and 7 accompanying teachers who participated in this Visit to Campus (Vitos) activity. This visit was welcomed by the lecturers of the Medical Study Program as representatives of the FK UNS, namely: Maryani, dr., M.Sc., Sp.MK and Dian Nugroho, dr., MMedEd.

The representative of the assistant teacher for SMA IT Nurul Fikri, Heru Untung, S.Pd., M.Ed., as the Manager of Upper Secondary Education who is also a UNS alumni expressed his gratitude for the willingness of the Medical Study Program of FK UNS to accept the visit of IT Nurul Fikri High School.

"We hold this Vitos activity every year, but for the past 2 years it was not carried out because of the pandemic. And thank God this time we were allowed to enter the campus. Madam doctor, we really hope that we can gain knowledge in the not too distant future. Hopefully, various information from doctors will be a provision for our children in strengthening their hearts to be able to become health servants of Indonesia, the world, to be able to provide benefits to mankind in terms of health," he explained.

Representing the Medical Study Program, Maryani, dr., M.Si., Sp.MK expressed her gratitude and welcome to the family of SMA IT Fikri.

“We are very happy to welcome Mr. Heru Untung and his team as well as all of the students who will become the doctor candidates in the future. God willing, we want to give our best so that later friends can have an idea of what studying at UNS Medicine in the city of Solo is like," dr. Maryani explained.

The material activity began with an explanation of the profile of the UNS FK to students, as well as a question and answer session. Then the activity continued with a visit to the laboratories in FK UNS.
