FK UNS Receives Outing Class Visit from SMA Science Plus Baitul Quran Boarding School Sragen Students
Doctors are one of the professions that are in great demand by most school children. Being able to treat and help sick people, become a researcher or teacher in the health field makes this profession have a very strong appeal. However, to become a doctor requires effort that is not easy, it takes seriousness and seriousness in taking education from the basic level to being able to graduate and get a degree as a doctor.
As an effort to introduce the world of medical education to its students, SMA Science Plus Baitul Quran Boarding School Sragen held an Outing Class to the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) on Thursday (22/9/2022).
A total of 146 class XI students who were accompanied by 7 accompanying teachers were accepted by dr. Dian Nugroho, M.Med.Ed and dr. Lukman Aryoseto, M.K.M. On this occasion, presentations were presented about the profile of FK UNS, the student admission process, facilities owned and an overview of learning at FK UNS.
According to dr. Dian Nugroho in his explanation, as a medical student is not only required to be good at academics but also has to hone soft skills which will later support success in the world of work. In addition, the Faculty of Medicine UNS itself also has a quality group to ensure the quality of the graduates produced.
"So, there is such a thing as a quality group whose job is to strictly oversee so that younger students can become graduates with a reputation not only nationally but also internationally," he explained.
The Principal of SMA Science Plus Baitul Quran Boarding School Sragen, Ustadz Ifa Ainur Razi, Lc, on this occasion expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to his students to be able to take a closer look at the Faculty of Medicine.
“Of course, we would like to thank the Faculty of Medicine UNS for giving us permission to directly study, visit, see the condition of the Faculty of Medicine UNS. One of the faculties that is a favorite for students at our school,” ustadz Ifa said.
In this activity, the chairman and administrators of the Medical Education Student Association (HMPD) were also presented to share and ask questions about the experience of undergoing lectures at the Faculty of Medicine, UNS.
This activity ended with a laboratory visit to the anatomy laboratory of FK UNS, the students seemed very enthusiastic when they saw for the first time cadaver and various human organs that were preserved as a medium for medical students' practicum. Not only saw but they also received a brief explanation from dr. Lukman Aryoseto about what organs are in the laboratory.
By holding outing class activities like this, it is hoped that students who are still in high school can have insight into the world of lectures, especially at the Faculty of Medicine so that when they graduate from high school and intend to continue to college, they are no longer confused when they have to choose the choice of study program. will be selected.
