Handover of the Cooperation Agreement Documents between the Faculty of Medicine UNS and UM


 

The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially cooperates with the Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). The handover of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) document took place in Meeting Room 1, Soetjipto Building, FK UNS, (09/09/2022).

From the UNS Medical Faculty, it was attended by the Dean of UNS Medical Faculty, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) and their related staff. Meanwhile, three representatives from UM attended, namely: Dr. Juharyanto, M.M., M.Pd (Director of Planning, Ranking, Public Relations and Partnerships), dr. Erianto Fanani, S.Ked, M.K.K.K (Lecturer of the Department of Public Health), and Rahadi, S.Sos (Head of Household Section). The PKS document was handed over from the dean of FK UNS to the MU.

In signing the cooperation document, FK UNS and UM agreed to cooperate in opening the Medical Study Program (Prodi) of the Faculty of Medicine, State University of Malang. In this case, FK UNS acts as a supervisory faculty for the Medical Study Program of FK UM which will be established until later assistance in the opening and acceptance of new students.

UM representative, Dr. Juharyanto, M.M., M.Pd, said that UM had been waiting for this collaboration. Furthermore, it was stated that after becoming a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) this year, UM will increase the number of faculties, including the Faculty of Medicine and Health, which aims to be able to participate in meeting the needs of the community for health workers in Indonesia.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), expressed his gratitude and appreciation to UM for his trust in FK UNS to become the builder faculty and companion for the opening of the UM Medical Study Program. FK UNS will sincerely work to foster and assist until later the Medical Study Program of FK UM officially accepts new students, as expected by UM.

Furthermore, the Dean of FK UNS said that currently many universities have proposed the opening of new medical faculties, both private and public universities, there are around 100 universities that are already queuing up. While the number of medical faculties that currently exist and are spread throughout Indonesia are around 93 faculties. In addition to collaborating with UM as a coaching faculty, in 2022, FK UNS will also foster three candidates for Medical Study Program from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and Universitas Muhadi Setiabudi (UMUS) Brebes, Central Java.
