Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Implementing Elements (UP) of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) held an activity to distribute assistance to the Foster Parents Movement (GOTA) on Tuesday (6/9/2022). Located in Meeting Room 1 of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, this activity was attended by the management of DWP-UP FK UNS and 13 recipients of educational education assistance who are employees of the Faculty of Medicine UNS.

According to the Head of the DWP-UP FK UNS, Nining Himawati Reviono, S.E, this activity is routinely carried out every year to support the education of the children of UNS Medical Faculty employees.

"So, the purpose and objective of this activity is to carry out a program from the education section of the DWP-UP FK UNS in every new academic year by providing educational assistance to the children of employees within the UNS Faculty of Medicine," she said.

It was further stated that on this year's occasion there were 13 children who received assistance from the DWP-UP FK UNS with each child receiving assistance of Rp. 500,000.00 so that the total educational assistance provided this year reached Rp. 6,500,000.00.

The number of beneficiaries this year decreased compared to 2021, which reached 20 children. This indirectly indicates that the welfare level of employees at the Faculty of Medicine UNS is getting better because the recipients of this educational assistance must meet various predetermined requirements.

"By providing educational assistance, it is hoped that it can motivate their children to be more active in learning and be enthusiastic to realize their dreams," concluded Nining Reviono.
