Release of Graduates of Specialist Medical Education Program FK UNS for August 2022


 

The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) through the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) on Thursday (25/08/2022), held an event for the Release of Specialist Doctors for the August 2022 Period. This event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), vice deans, Director of Dr. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta, Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG(K)., S.H and all the Heads of the PPDS Study Program of FK UNS.

This release event was attended by 40 PPDS FK UNS students from 8 Study Programs (Prodi). 10 of the participants were recipients of the Ministry of Health Study Task Scholarship. In this release there were 4 participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by Adhelia Kusuma Wardhani, dr., Sp.P.D (S961808001) with a GPA of 3.93, Brilliant Van Fitof Songso Rhomado, dr., Sp.P.D (S961808006) with a GPA of 3.93, Meutia Halida, dr., Sp.P.D (S961808010) with a GPA of 3.93, Salma Asri Nova, Sp.P.D, dr., Sp.P.D (S961808011) with a GPA of 3.93 all of which came from the Internal Medicine Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest specialist graduate is Meutia Halida, dr., Sp.P.D from the Internal Medicine Study Program at the age of 30 years 7 months at graduation.

Prof. Ahmad Yunus in his speech said the importance of improving the quality of education in accordance with international standards.

"In the future, the development of science cannot be underestimated, it develops very quickly. That is why we are required to always equalize with international quality,” he said.

He also left a message to these new specialists not to be afraid of future competition with doctors from Indonesia and abroad because competition will improve the quality produced.

Representative of the Alumni Family Association (IKA) FK UNS, Yulita Ruli Titisari, dr., M.PH in her speech advised that new specialist doctors should care and be actively involved in the existence of the alumni association.

“So, we hope that all our colleagues can contribute actively in their respective fields wherever they will be placed or located, even though it will be in the regions. Don't forget that there are 3 things that must be understood and inspired by alumni, the three things are Politeness, Fellowship and Togetherness or 3K which is the motto of the alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS," Dr. Yulita said.

Furthermore, he also said that the role of alumni associations is not only to realize the vision and mission of educational institutions, but also as the spearhead of improving the reputation of universities in the eyes of the community as well as opening the way for newly graduated alumni to enter the world of work or professionals.

Director of Dr. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta, Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG on this occasion said that the title as a specialist doctor who was successfully achieved was not the end of the journey but rather the beginning of a journey in service.

“I advise all of you that this is not the end of the journey, this is the beginning, so keep it professional. Because the problem of medical practice today is different from the past,” Dr. Cahyono Hadi said.

In addition, he advised that these specialists can take shelter under the collegium and always maintain medical ethics so that they can maintain the good name of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS and Dr. Hospital. Moewardi.

The Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), in his speech congratulated the new specialist doctors while conveying that there are still many opportunities ahead that can be utilized by these new specialists.

“I congratulate all of you who have completed a stage that you may have planned to aspire to as a specialist. But this stage can continue or it can stop here. You may continue as a sub specialist or you may have a career elsewhere, in management perhaps as a director or in other public positions. Those are all opportunities that lie ahead,” Prof. Reviono said.

Furthermore, Prof. Reviono advised specialist doctors after becoming alumni and taking part in the community to always maintain integrity, professionalism, and good networks.

With the release of specialist doctors for the August 2022 period, the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, since its establishment in 1976, has graduated 1556 (one thousand five hundred and fifty-six) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions, both in the field of health services. health, education, research, as well as specialist doctors for government, private sector, TNI/POLRI and others.
