In order to realize the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, final year students carry out Real Work Lectures or Community Service Program (KKN). This year, the Medical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) held the Thematic Community Service Program for the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction. The group of students from the Medical Study Program who carried out the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) in Mojokerto Village, Kedawung District, Sragen Regency held a Healthy Tent and Stunting Socialization (TEH SULING). The activity took place at the Mojokerto Village Hall.
TEH SULING consisted of two series of activities. First, socialization about stunting was carried out with the target participants being pregnant women, cadres, and also newlyweds. The activity which was attended by 29 participants presented Lukman Aryoseto, dr., M.K.M as a speaker. He delivered material on stunting and how to prevent it and also material on nutritional fulfillment during pregnancy for pregnant women.
The second activity was HEALTHY TENT in the form of free medical check-ups consisting of blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid checks which were attended by 41 participants.
It was hoped that the holding of these two activities could increase public knowledge and awareness about stunting so that it could reduce stunting rates and prevent stunting in the future.
